" Bye mommy. I love you." Lani said, hugging her mom. It was now the time that she semi dreaded.
" I'm going to miss you bug. You the only one of my kids who don't stress me the hell out." Leah laughed.
" Mama I'll be back in like a month for Winter Break." Lani responded.
" I know, I know. Have fun baby and I love you." she said, squeezing her. If her dad was there he probably would've been crying, but he had to do something last minute for work.
" Well mama Royal's outside. I'll call you when I get to my dorm." she said, grabbing her suitcase. She started walking towards the door and her mom followed.

" Is it just me or y'all tired ?" Royal asked.
" Yes. I thought on breaks you were supposed to be sleeping in, I can't even tell you one day that I got too sleep past 9." Lani chuckled.
" Cons of having little siblings." Morgan added. Morgan had a little brother and he was around the same age as Kapree and the twins.
" I'll see y'all later." Lani said, as she approached her dorm room. Once she made it to her room she quickly got in the shower. After she got out of the shower she did her usual night routine. She talked her family members before getting into bed.

" Dawg, I'm telling you. She doesn't think of me that way." Dae Dae said. Right now Damien and Samir we're having a conversation on him and Lani.
" How would you know that if you never expressed your feelings for her ?" Samir asked.
" Because that shit gone be awkward as fuck if I tell her how I feel and she don't feel the same about me. I'm not trying to break our friendship because of my feelings." he expressed.
" Well if you don't tell her then you not gone get nowhere." Samir shrugged.

" I gotta go, she just asked me to come over." he said, picking up his jacket.
" Go get your girl bro." Samir said, and Dae Dae flipped him off.
He grabbed his key and made his way to her room. Their dorm buildings were right next to each other , so it really didn't take him long to get there.
" Hey, I hope I didn't wake you." she said, shyly.
" Nah you good I was up talking to Samir. What's up ?" he said.
" I need to talk to you and I'm kind of scared to tell you. So please bare with me." sh said, and he nodded his head.
" Dae Dae I like you and I mean like like. And I hope it's not too late and you've moved on from me. I've been playing hard to get and it's not because I like to watch you suffer or because I want to lead you on. B- But I have serious trust issues." she said, before she started sniffling.
