" Hi Mr and Mrs. Hendrix. Where's everyone else ?" Lani said. Dae Dae's family came down for his basketball game.

" Hey beautiful. The rest of them we're tired so they stayed in the room." Regina, Dae Dae's mom, said.
" Hey Kelani." Dexter, Dae Dae's father, waved.
" Y'all ready ?" Dae Dae asked, and they all nodded their heads. They were at his parents hotel and they were about to go out for a late lunch.
During the car ride they engaged in small talk.
" Hello, welcome to Fed Souls. How many are we seating ?" the waitress said.
" Table for 4 please." Dae Dae answered, and the girl led them to a booth.
" So Lani is my son taking good care of you? You don't have to lie for him either" Derrick asked, making Lani giggle a little bit.
" Yes sir." she answered, cheesing over at Dae Dae.
" Lani so you play tomorrow , correct?" Regina asked.
" Yes ma'am it'll be my first game back. We play at 4:15." Lani answered.
" I can't wait to see you play. I remember seeing you on tv when you were playing high school ball. I used to play basketball back in my day." Regina said, making Lani smile.
" Wow ? What position did you play ?" Lani inquired.
" When I first started playing I was a point guard and then they moved me to shooting guard closer to the end of my career." she answered, and Lani nodded her head.
They engaged in some more small talk before the waitress came back to take their food orders.
" So Lani, Damien tells me your family owns this restaurant chain. Is that true ?" Dexter asked.
" Yes sir, my uncle, my mom's brother, owns the whole chain." she answered proudly.
" Hey Lani." Lani heard, from behind her.
" Uncle Marcus." she squealed, giving him a hug. She wouldn't let anyone know this , but he was her favorite uncle and he wouldn't admit it but she was his favorite niece.
" Uncle Marcus these are Dae Dae's parents, Regina and Dexter. This is my Uncle Marcus, also known as the owner of this restaurant." Lani said, and they both said hi.
" Hello y'all , I hope you guys are enjoying the service. If not just let me know and we can get that sorted out." Marcus said, and they all nodded their heads.
Lani stepped away from the table to engage in small talk with her uncle.
