OCTOBER 1976
6th Year

Lydia shivered, as she, Addeline and Tobias sat on the Quidditch stands, watching Gryffindor's practice.
"How is it this cold already?" Lydia asked, "It's only the beginning of October. It's not even Winter yet."
"I can give you the scientific answer, or the not so scientific answer." Addeline told the girl from her place between the two Hufflepuffs.
"The not so scientific answer, please." Tobias said, making the girls chuckle slightly.
"Because it's Britain." Addeline gave them the answer.
Lydia nodded, pushing her glasses further up her face, "Makes sense."
Tobias chuckled, "Is Black actually trying to flirt with Avery in the middle of their practice?"
"What do you expect?" The Slytherin next to him laughed.
The trio watched in amusement, as down on the field, Sirius tried one of his horrible pick-up lines on the Lennox girl - who in return gave him an unimpressed look and threw a Quaffle at him, smiling triumphantly as it hit him in the stomach, making the boy grab it in shock.
"She's a firecracker." A voice commented, as Lily sat down next to Lydia.
"What are you doing here?" Lydia smirked at the redhead, playing with her fingerless gloves.
"Supporting my friend during her practice."
"You sure you're not here for James?" Tobias teased the Gryffindor, who scoffed.
"Piss off." Lily told the three, making them laugh.

Lydia let our a sigh, taking a bite of another ginger nut biscuit, as she continued to messily write her Astronomy essay.
She was just about ready to let out a loud scream of frustration when she remembered that she was in the library and didn't want Madame Pince to kick her out.
Letting out another heavy sigh, the Hufflepuff got started on her second paragraph when a certain Gryffindor approached her.
