"So, I saw you and Remus in the library yesterday," Sirius said to Lydia, as he sat next to her in Charms, "Looked like the two of you were having fun."

"Is the only time you ever actually go to the library to spy on me, Remus, or us both?"

Sirius stared at her, "...Yes. But that's beside the point."

Lydia laughed, shaking her head and pushing her glasses further up her face, "Then what is the point?"

"The point is that you and Remus are perfect for each other and need to start dating quickly, as I have prepared a little I was right dance and am very eager to perform it to everyone." Sirius told her.

Lydia stared at the Gryffindor, "How have you not yet been punched by talking to people like that?"

"With this smile, I can get away with everything."

"Unless you're smiling at McGonagall."

"Unless I'm smiling at McGonagall."

Lydia and Tobias sat under their group's usual tree by the Black Lake, waiting for their other two friends after the school day had finished.

"Tobes, stop complaining." Lydia chuckled at the boy, who groaned.

"But I don't want to do the essay."

"I told you, you can copy mine."

"But I can't read your handwriting." Tobias sulked.

"Do I need to tell you that there's a spider next you?"

Even though he knew that she was lying, the older Hufflepuff looked around at the ground beside him in fright, before turning to his smirking friend across from him.

"You know, one day it's going to be real and I'm not going to believe you and then I'll get bitten and die and it's be all your fault."

"Or you'll become Spider-Man." Lydia shrugged.

Tobias stared at her, "I take that back."

Lydia chuckled, shaking her head lightly, as Avery and Addeline joined them.

"Black is trying to set you up with someone?" Avery asked the brunette girl.

Lydia gave the older girl a confused look, "How'd you know about that?"

"He just told me."

Tobias smirked at the Gryffindor, cocking an eyebrow, "You were talking to him?"

"Not voluntarily," Avery scoffed, "He's right above clown on my creepy scale."

Addeline rolled her eyes, "And do you find those clowns conventionally attractive?"

Lydia and Tobias laughed at the Slytherin's remark, whilst Avery sent Addeline a look that had her scrambling to sit the other side fo Toby to create some distance between her and her angry friend.

"Anyway," Avery said through gritted teeth, before turning back to Lydia, "What's this whole thing about?"

Lydia sighed, adjusting her glasses, "Basically, I'm sat next to him in Charms, so we started talking, which apparently made him come to the conclusion that Remus Lupin and I are perfect for each other. So, now he's doing everything in his power to play Cupid between us."

"To be honest, it is kind of amusing to watch." Addeline chuckled.

"I'm not going to lie to you, Lyds," Avery shrugged, "You and Lupin are very alike and would definitely make a great couple."

Lydia blushed, playing with her glasses, "Well, I, you know." She stuttered.

"Have you even met him?" Toby asked, as Addeline leaned into him.

"Twice." Lydia nodded.

"And?" The boy smirked.

"And he's nice," The Hufflepuff girl shrugged, "We helped each other with the Astronomy essay and swapped snacks." She said with a light chuckle.

Addeline raised an eyebrow, "You gave him one of your biscuits?"

Lydia nodded.

"Ooh, how romantic." Avery joked, making her friends laugh.

"Were you two talking about spiders before we got here?" Addeline asked the two Hufflepuffs, changing the subject, much to Lydia's relief.

"To be more precise, we were talking about how, if a radioactive spider were to bite Toby, he'd become Spider-Man." Lydia nodded.

"Step aside, ladies, for here comes Toby Parker, your friendly neighbourhood superhero." The boy said, making Spider-Man actions with his hands, making Lydia laugh, "Pew pew."

"You two are such nerds." Avery chuckled, shaking her head.

"Hey, don't talk to Toby-Man that way." Addeline told her.

Lydia laughed, holding Spider-Man hands up at Avery.

"Lydia, I swear." The Beater threatened, a small smile fighting its way onto her face.

Lydia smiled coyly.

"Pew pew."
