Sat in Potions, Lydia let out a sigh as she got her equipment out for the lesson. Usually, Avery would be sitting next to her, but she was sat with Jackson Griffin - one of her Gryffindor friends - leaving Lydia sat alone for the lesson.
"You want some company?" A voice asked, making Lydia smile.
"That would be nice." The Hufflepuff girl nodded, making Remus smile, as he sat down in the vacant seat next to her.
"I thought Avery normally sat with you." Remus said, getting out his own equipment from his bag.
"She's having a little flirting session." Lydia smirked, motioning over to where her friend is sat.
"Make sure Sirius doesn't see." Remus muttered with a slight chuckle.
"He's too busy smiling creepily at us." Lydia informed the boy, nodding over to where Sirius was doing just that.
Glancing at each other, Remus and Lydia looked back at Sirius, sending him a wave, to which he only smiled back.
"Do you think he realises how much of serial killer he looks right now?" The girl asked.
"I don't think he cares anymore," Remus shrugged, looking over at her, "You're wearing contacts today." He noted.
"Uh, yeah." Lydia muttered.
"It's like I said before," Remus added, "You look lovely either way."
Lydia blushed, "Thanks."
"Oh! I have something for you," Remus realised, reaching into his bag, pulling out a thick book, handing it to the girl sitting next to him, "It's the book that helped me learn Latin," He explained, "I asked Mum to send it to me."
Lydia studied the cover, before looking up at the Gryffindor boy with a soft smile on her face, "You asked your Mum to send you this for me?"
"Well, uh, yeah, I-I thought it would help," Remus stuttered, "I-I'm sorry if that was inappropriate-"
"Remus," Lydia chuckled, cutting the boy off, putting her hand on his arm, "That's very sweet of you," She told hum, "Thank you."
Remus' face flushed red, "You're welcome."
Watching the pair, Sirius excitedly tugged on the sleeve of James' robe.
"James! James!" He squealed, "It's happening!"
"Yes, Padfoot, I have eyes," James sighed, trying to get his friend to stop shaking him, "Now let go of me, otherwise I'll yank Remus back over here."
Sirius immediately let go, continuing to watch his two friends in excitement.

The next Potions lesson, Lydia sat at her desk, whilst Avery sat with Jackson once again.
Looking over at the door, Lydia was confused when only three of the famous Marauders entered the classroom.
For the rest of the lesson, Lydia sat wondering why Remus hadn't shown up, glancing at where he had sat the lesson prior in worry.

"Hey, Sirius!" Lydia called out to the boy once the lesson had ended, following him into the corridor.
"Yeah?" The boy asked.
"Can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Yeah, sure," The shaggy-haired Gryffindor nodded, before turning to his friends and saying, "I'll catch up with you guys in a minute."
James and Peter nodded, starting to walk away.
"See ya, Lydia."
"Bye, Lydia."
Lydia gave both of the boys a small wave, as Sirius turned back to her.
"You okay?" He asked.
"Yeah," Lydia nodded, "Is Remus?"
Sirius' eyebrows creased in confusion, "What do you mean?"
"Well, he wasn't in Potions just now. And he wasn't in Defence Against the Dark Arts, either," She explained, pulling her books closer to her chest, "I just want to make sure he's okay."
"He, uh, he wasn't feeling well today," Sirius told her, "But he'll be back in lessons tomorrow. Just in time for Astrology on Tuesday."
"Okay," The Hufflepuff nodded, "Tell him I said that I hope he's feeling better."
"Will do." Sirius grinned.
"Thanks." Lydia nodded, starting to make her way to the Hufflepuff Common Room.
"Hey Lydia!" He called out, making the girl turn around.
"Yeah?"
Sirius smirked, "You look nice with the contacts."
