"You know, I think my brother has a crush on your step-sister." Tobias spoke up, as he and his friends were sat under a tree, during their free period.

"Yeah, I know." Lydia hummed.

"Really?" Tobias questioned, turning his head to the girl.

"He's had a crush on her since they were ten," Lydia stated, leaning against the big oak tree, "I'm surprised it's taken four years for you to notice."

"Aw," Addeline cooed, looking up from her textbook, "Oscar has a crush on Emily?"

Lydia nodded, "And he's not subtle about it."

Avery raised an eyebrow, "Does she like him?"

"She still thinks, and I quote, 'Boys are gross'." The Hufflepuff answered.

"Well, she's not wrong." The Gryffindor chortled.

"Speaking for all boys, I say oi!" Tobias exclaimed.

"Oh, Toby." Addeline sighed, shaking her head as she continued reading her book.

"How long have we got?" Lydia asked, turning her head to the Slytherin.

Addeline checked her watch, "Fifteen minutes."

"Don't make me." Tobias groaned, with enough dramatics that rivalled Sirius Black, as he grabbed onto Lydia's arm.

"Not our fault you chose charms." Avery told him.

"Not my fault I'm no good at anything other than Transfiguration and Herbology." Tobias quipped back.

"He has a point, you know." The Lennox girl nodded, pointing at him.

"We should probably start walking to our class," Addeline said, starting to get up, "Don't want to be late."

"Addie, it takes five minutes to walk there," Lydia said, looking up at the pale girl, who stared down at her friend, moving her legs anxiously, "But would it make you feel better if we went now?"

"Yes it would."

"Okay," Lydia nodded, standing up, turning to their other friends, "You coming."

"Yeah, just let me find the energy to stand up." Tobias said with a chuckle.

"There's a spider there." Avery said, pointing to the ground, beside the boy's hand.

"Oh my God!" The Hufflepuff exclaimed, standing up, wiping his hands over his uniform over and over again, terrified.
