"Come on!" Lydia grinned, dragging an annoyed Addeline behind her, as the pair navigated their way through the packed Gryffindor stands on the Quidditch pitch.

"I have homework." Addeline groaned.

"Which you can do tomorrow." Lydia told her, her yellow Hufflepuff scarf flapping slightly in the wind.

Avery smiled, as her friends joined her at the front of the stands, "Finally. Took you long enough."

"Do you have any idea how difficult it is to get Addie to come?" Lydia questioned the Beater, "Next time it's your turn."

"Looking forward to it." Avery muttered, as she and the Hufflepuff rolled their eyes as they watched their Slytherin friend open her Astronomy textbook, uninterested in her surroundings.

Noticing their stare, Addeline looked up, "What?"

Lydia chuckled, shaking her head, pushing her glasses further up her face, "You're one of a kind, Addie."

"Lydia!" A voice called, making the brunette turn around, smiling, as she saw a familiar redhead come over to them.

"Lily." Lydia smiled, giving her friend a hug, making Addeline look up from her book.

"Hey Lils." The girl greeted.

"Evans." Avery gave her fellow Gryffindor a nod.

"Addie, Avery." Lily greeted.

The four talked for a couple of minutes, sharing stories of their Summer holidays, Lydia, Lily and Avery chuckling as Addeline went back to her book.

Their chatter came to an end, when Lily and Avery noticed the group that had come to stand beside them.

"Oh God." The Gryffindors groaned, realised that none other than Sirius Black, James Potter and their friends were the ones standing next to them.

"Lilyflower." James greeted with a grin.

"Toerag." Lily answered, making both Lily and Remus stifle their laughter.

"Lennox." Sirius nodded at the girl, coming to stand next to her.

Avery eyed him, "Black."

All conversations around the pitch came to a halt as the Hufflepuff and Slytherin Quidditch teams flew out, onto the pitch, the crowd cheering wildly.

Lydia let out a laugh, taking the textbook out of Addeline's hand, making the girl let out a whine of protest, before smiling slightly as she watched Tobias waving enthusiastically at his friends with a wide grin, earning similar ones back.

"Welcome to Hogwarts' first Quidditch game of the season! Today's game: Hufflepuff versus Slytherin!"

Madam Hooch kicked the trunk, the bludgers zooming out, letting the game begin.

It was only a minute in and Tobias had already scored two goals, giving the Hufflepuff team twenty points. From the stands, his friends cheered wildly, Lydia and Addeline grabbing each other, jumping up and down, whilst Avery clapped and yelled in support.

"Yes, Toby!" Lydia grinned, running to give her friend a hug, after his team had won the game, three hundred and seventy points to one hundred and ten, "I told you you'd win!"

"Congrats, Tobes." Addeline smiled, also giving him a hug.

"I would hug you, but you're sweaty and on a rival team," Avery said, making he friends laugh, before they gave each other a side hug, "Well done, Toby."

"Thanks." The boy chuckled with a grin, as the group started the walk back to the castle.

"I believe that is now the seventh time in a row that you've beaten Slytherin." Addeline said.

"Yep." Tobias smirked.

"Does that mean I should hate you?" The short girl asked.

"Probably." Tobias nodded, readjusting the broomstick in his hand, making his friends chuckle.

"You're up against Gryffindor next," Avery told him, "Think you can handle it?"

Tobias shrugged, "I'll take my chances. And besides, if I feel like we're losing I suppose I could just pull a ten year old Addeline."

"I was ten and had never flown on a broom before, I didn't mean to fall off." Addeline attempted to defend herself.

"And did you mean to land on your father?" Avery teased.

"Shut up."

"I'm telling you, I'm getting this close to Lennox talking to me like I'm not some dirt on her shoe." Sirius said, holding his fingers an inch apart, after watching the girl in questioned walk up the stairs with Lily, in the direction of their dorm.

"Try this far apart." Remus corrected, moving the boy's arms out so that his hands were over a foot apart.

"I hate you." Sirius mumbled, taking his hands away from his friend, before flopping down on the red sofa.

Remus chuckled, shaking his head, "You're one of a kind, Padfoot."

"You coming to Hogsmeade with us tomorrow, Remy?" James asked the boy, sitting down next to Sirius, as Peter sat on the floor, beside the fire.

"No," Remus shook his head, "I have some work I want to get ahead on." He told them, making his friends smile slightly, shaking their heads lightly.

"We have got to get you a girlfriend, Moony." James told him.

Sirius stared at Remus, noticing his picked and bitten at fingernails, the now dried ink on his hands, which had smudged his notes. He then remembered his friend's messy handwriting, acute intellect and the prefect badge that would usually sit proudly on his robes. He also took note that whilst Remus was incredibly kind, he was not only amused by his friends antics, but let them get away with many pranks, sometimes even participating in them himself.

A smirk grew on the eldest boy's face as he finally answered the question that had been bugging him for days. Who it was the girl he sits next to in charms reminded him of.

"And I have the perfect candidate."

All heads turned to him.

"Who?" James asked excitedly, a grin spreading across his face.

"Lydia Gables," Sirius answered, "You know, Evans and Lennox's friend. The one with the glasses. I sit next to her in Charms."

"Oh yeah, the smart one." Peter nodded.

"Moony's type." James smirked.

"I'll put in a good word for you." Sirius told Remus.

"Sirius, no." Remus told him.

The boy grinned, "Sirius yes."

"Sirius." Remus growled, lowly.

"Oh, please, Moony," Sirius begged, "I'm great at playing Cupid. And you two are a match made in Hogwarts."

James let out a short laugh, "Did you actually think that was funny?" He asked, receiving a glare from Sirius, "And many times have you ever actually played Cupid?"

"Shut up, Prongs," Sirius told the boy, before turning back to Remus, "Please, Remy."

Remus sighed, "No matter how may times I say no, you're not going to listen, are you?"

"I'm so glad you've caught on, Remy."
