[Harry POV]

We soon returned to the castle after that horrible incident. I was beyond traumatized. One thig was conformed. Hagrid was innocent. He never opened the Chamber of Secrets. Ron was pretty shaken up too. We went to the dorms and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I fell asleep.

Time Skip

The next day everything was pretty normal, in the evening we went to the hospital wing to visit Hermione and Y/N. As we entered the two girls were on different beds, one completely frozen and the other one in a temporary coma.(Y/N had not waken up...it was at night)

I sat in the middle of the two beds as I said

 ''Wish you both were here Hermione, Y/N/N. We need you. Now more than ever.'' I said as Ron sighed. I held onto Hermione's hand and caressed it. I then felt a rustle. I then llooked at it to see that it was a paper crumpled in her hand. I took it out confused and opened it. 

''What's that?'' Ron asked as I read through. I widened my eyes and said with realization 

''Ron, this is why Hermione and Y/N was in the library that day they were attacked. Come on!''

We walked in the corridors as I read the paper out aloud. 

''Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the Basilisk. Capable of living for a hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent's eye. Spiders flee before it.. Ron this is it. The monster in the Chamber of Secrets is a Basilisk. That's why Y/N/N and I can hear it speak. It's a snake.'' I said. Ron looked unconvinced.

 ''But if it kills by looking people in the eye, why is it no one's dead?'' He questioned. Why didn't I see it before. I started thinking hard and then it hit me...

''Because no one did look it in the eye. Not directly atleast.'' I answered and Ron nodded.

''Colin saw it through his camera. Justin....Justin must have seen the basilisk through Nearly Headless Nick. Nick got the full blast of it, but he's a ghost. He couldn't die again. And Hermione and Y/N...had the mirror. I bet you anything they were using it to around the corners in case it came along. But when she sat it, She must have pushed Y/N so it does not affect her.'' I explained.

 ''And Mrs. Norris? I'm pretty sure she didn't have a camera or a mirror, Harry.'' Ron argued. I thought again...

 ''The water...there was water o the floor that night. She only saw the Basilisk reflection.'' I answered as Ron nodded in realization. 

''Spiders flee before it...it all fits.'' I said. 

''But how's the Basilisk been getting around? A dirty, great snake. Someone whould've seen it.'' Ron asked.

 ''They have answered that too.'' I said showing the paper.

 ''Pipes? It's using the plumbing.'' Ron said. 

''Remember what Aragog said, about that girl 50 years ago? She died in a bathroom?

What if she nevr left?'' I said.

 ''Moaning Myrtle.'' Ron whispered. Soo then McGonagall's voice boomed through the corridors. 

''ALL STUDENTS ARE TO RETURN TO THEIR HOUSE DORMATORIES AT ONCE. ALL TEACHERS TO THE SECOND FLOOR CORRIDOR IMMEDIATELY.''

She said. We looked at each other and we left to the second floor corridor.

We hid behind a wall as the teachers came running. 

''As you can see, the heir of Slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realized. Two students has been taken by the monster into the chamber itself. The students must be sent home. I'm afraid this is the end of Hogwarts.'' McGonagall said guiltily. Soon then Lockheart came as he said 

''So sorry. Dozed off. What did I miss?'' 

''Two girls have been snatched by the monster, Lockheart. Your moment has come at last.'' Snape said pretty angrily. This was the first time I saw him this worried. Why was he?

..It can't be....

''M-my...moment?'' Lockheart stuttred.

 ''Weren't you saying that last night that you've known all along where the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is?'' Snape asked. Lockheart looked shocked.

 ''That's settled. We'll leave you to deal with the monster, Gilderoy. Your skills, afterall, are legend.'' McGoagall said with a small smirk on her face. Lockheart visibily gulped. 

''Very well.. Uh, I'll just be in my office getting..getting ready.'' He said and left.

 ''Who is it that the monster has taken, Minerva?'' Madam Pomfrey asked.

 ''Ginny Weasley and Y/N Snape.'' McGonagall answered as I stood there shocked...

No no no no.. We had just visited her...

Ron let out a shaky breath as the teachers left. We then saw what the message was...

''Her skeleton will lie in the chamber forever''

Ron read the sentence out and gasped.

 ''Y/N/N..Ginny..'' he whispered...
