[Y/N POV]

Hermione and I walked to Potions class to see everyone piled up near a table where Professor Slughorn was holding some potions. We stood next to each other as I examined the set up table.

''Attention to detail in the preparation is the prerequisite of all planning.'' The Potions master explained as I heard to pairs of footsteps and turn to look in the direction to see Harry and Ron entering the class.

''Ah. Harry, my boy, I was beginning to worry. We've brought someone with us, I see.'' Slughorn exclaimed as I cringed at his exteremely sweet tone.

''Ron Weasley, sir. But I'm dead awful at Potions, a menace actually. So, I'm jus gonna--'' Ron squeaked out as he turned around but Harry held him back.

''Nonsense, we'll sort you out. Any friend of Harry's and Y/N's is a friend of mine. Get your books out.'' Professor said as I rolled my eyes. This man was overly friendly towards me the whole time making me doubt him. I snorted at Ron's defeated look as Hermione slapped my harm slightly.

''I haven't actually got my book yet, and nor has Ron.'' Harry said as they both stood at the entrance.

''Not to worry. Get what you want from the cupboard.'' The elder said as the two boys went to fetch their books as Slughorn continued his speech.

''Now as I was saying, I prepared some concoctions this morning. Any ideas what these might be?'' Slughorn asked as Hermione and I raised our hands.

''Yes Miss Snape?'' The elder said as I went near the furtherest potion to examine it further.

''That one there is Veritaserum. It's a truth telling serum. And that would be Polyjuice potion. It's teribly tricky to make.'' I said as I let Hermione explain the others.

''Yes Miss--'' Sulghorn cut himself off for Hermione.

''Granger, sir. And this is Amortentia, the most powerful love potion in the world. It's rumoured to smell differently to each person according to what attracts them. For example I smell freshly mown grass, and new parchment, and spearmint toothpaste.'' Hermione explained as I caught a whiff of Cinnamons, broomsticks and Treacle tart as I smiled unconsiously at the familiar smell of the emerald eyed boy. What I didn't realise is that two other boys could smell my perfume.

''Now, Amortentia doesn't create actual love. That would be impossible. But it does cause powerful infactuation and obsession. And fo that reason, it is probably the most dangerous potion in this room.'' Slughorn explained as many girls scooted closer to take more sniffs of the potion as Hermione and I stayed back. He closed the lid, seemingly to bring everyone back from their trance.

''Sir, you haven't told us what's in that one.'' Katie Bell said as I looked at the small vial of clear liquid as I realised what it was right away.

''Oh yes. What you see before you, ladies and gentlemen is a curious little potion known as Felix Felicis. But it moe commonly referred to as--'' Slughorn said as I held the vial in his hands.

''Liquid luck.'' Hermione and I blurt out as the Professor looked at us.

''Yes Miss Granger and Snape. Liquid luck. Desperately tricky to make, disastrous should you get it wrong. One sip and you will find that all of your endeavours succeed.'' Slughorn said as I caught a glimpse of Draco looking far too interested in the potion as I frowned.

''Atleast until the effects wear off. So, this is what I offer each of you today. One tine vial of liquid luck to the student who, in the hour that remains, manages to brew an acceptable Draught of Living Death, the recipies for which can be found on page 10 of your books. I should point out however, only once did a student manage to brew a potion of sufficient quality to claim this prize. Nevertheless, good luck to you all. Let the brewing commence.'' Slughor explained as I walked to the cabinet and began collecting all the ingridients for the potion. I already read though the book and had seen there were plenty of mistakes in it and chose not to follow it.
