This is just a little thing I've been wanting to write for a while for something else, but I've decided to write it as a oneshot here instead because of Tommy's death (and later revival, though that happened after I'd written most of this). I like to think that this takes place at the same time as my 'Gone' oneshot and with the same idea that it's a different version of what actually happened. This will also be significantly shorter than the others.

Tommy

It was just cold and white all around me. My head felt wrong. Someone was standing behind me, but I couldn't be bothered to turn around. I already knew who was there. I knew what had happened.

      "So, you died."

      I hummed a response.

      "What're you gonna do?"

      "Nothing."

He chuckled. "What? That's not like you."

      I didn't reply.

"I really thought you'd last longer."

      Silence.

      "C'mon, Tommy. Don't ignore me."

      More silence.

I heard him sigh after a few minutes. "Why'd you visit him again?"

      "Closure."

"Why'd you really visit him again?"

I stayed quiet for a moment, thinking. "He said he could bring you back."

      "Can he?"

"I don't think so. Pretty sure he was bluffing just to save himself."

"Then, why do you think he killed you?"

I thought back to the week I'd spent in the cell with Dream. "Well, I-"

"I'll tell you why I think he killed you," He cut me off. "You told him you didn't believe that he could bring me back, right? Well, he probably can. He's likely gonna bring you back to prove a point - that guy's always had major control issues, so, y'know."

He didn't say anything else for a couple more minutes. The silence was nice, even if it didn't last long.

"I miss the old you, Tommy. What happened?"

      I shrugged. "I don't know."

We returned to silence yet again. I heard the gentle tapping of footsteps approaching from behind me, and then a felt arms wrap around my shoulders in an oddly comforting hug. He rested his chin on my head, just like he'd used to when we were kids.

"You shouldn't be here, Tommy. You had your entire life ahead of you; you're still a kid at the end of the day. Life really hasn't been fair to you." His voice cracked a little as he spoke.

I felt tears start to prick at my eyes and clenched my fists, digging my nails into my palms. "Fuck off, Wilbur."

"There he is, there's the Tommy I know." He chuckled softly.

I choked back a sob and turned around to face my brother for the first time in a long while, wrapping my arms around him in return. I couldn't handle it anymore. "I hate this."

"I know, I know. You'll be alright soon, though, I swear."

"Will I.. Will I see Tubbo again?"

He was silent for a moment. "Yeah."

I smiled, though I knew he was lying.

      "I missed you." He mumbled.

      "You're a fuckin' idiot."

I could practically hear him smile as he hugged me just the slightest bit tighter. "I know."

      It was quiet again.

      "..I missed you, too."
