Tip #1: Do Note call them orbs. Trust me. It's cringy and easily avoidable, no one thinks of eyes as orbs.

Tip #2: Know your eye parts.  Here is a diagram showing what each part is called.

Black part in the center? Iris
Coloured part? Iris
White part on the outside? Sclera

I don't know how to pronounce Sclera and don't feel like looking it up.

Tip #3: Descriptions

Blue eyes: Sky is alright but overused, consider types of blue flowers like forget-me-nots, and cornflowers. If your characters aren't so into flowers consider gems like Sapphire, or other blue objects mentioned in the book

Brown eyes: Don't call them the colour of dirt. It's not flattering. Consider polished wood, hot cocoa, or coffee. They also might have gold flecks in them so you might wanna describe that

Green eyes: If your character has a plant thing make it make sense for the character, also consider green gemstones like emerald or jade.

Black: Y'all like your black eyed America. So my favorite description is from Prove Me Wrong by Snowgalaxy06 where his eyes are basically extremely reflective. Whoever is gazing into them at night can see the stars like a beautiful part of the endless cosmos in them. I think that's beautiful.

Any other colour: Flowers and Gemstones are always a good bet.

General description: Some eyes have a darker ring around the pupil in the iris or a darker ring right on the outside of the iris next to the sclera. Your character is going to find this beautiful while staring into their eyes.

Alright that's all I have for now. See you guys later in what will probably be another fluff short story.
