Why do her words still hurt me? Russia stared at the ceiling. His hand reaching for something, he didn't know what. Tears pricked his eyes. Russia wanted to curl into an unfeeling mess and sleep until nothing was expected of him, nothing could hurt him. Words flew around his head he remembered clearly.

You still look like a woman.

You'll never be a man

Why must you hurt me like this?

Do you know all the shit I went through because of you?

How dare you leave me?

It was years since he had become his own country. Years since anyone had seen him as anything but a cis man. Years since he had seen his Mother, the person he cared the most about, die in front of him. The few parts of her he could save he did. He saved her in a jar, none of his siblings wanted them so he kept them. She still was the most important person to him. Sure things weren't always great with her, bit she was his mom. And Russia missed her.

"I'm sorry mom. I wish I could be the daughter you wanted me to be." Russia felt tears leave his eyes at he stared at the ceiling. He felt so alone. So sad. And so out of place. If people knew he were trans he'd be killed or at the very least outcast from his country. Russia felt horrible for the other people like him in his country. Those poor lonely souls.

Then again, what if he was the only one? No one truly cares about his wellbeing. It would be so easy to die on his own terms, and not the others. Die in grace instead of cast out.

But, then he would die a woman. His struggle never shown to anyone. He couldn't die yet. He hadn't made a statement. Russia sighed and pulled up the work website, he had several weeks of vacation, he could request time off. And that was exactly what he planned to do. Russia had a person he needed to visit.

Russia got off the plane, his disguise on. It was annoyingly feminine but he had a replacement one ready that was much more masculine and then his government couldn't track him as easily. Which was important for what he was going to be doing.

Russia made his way into a Taxi and told them the place. He could walk the rest of the way from there, he just needed to get out of the airport and someplace safe.

Russia paid the taxi driver and left, his bag felt heavy after the long flight, but it didn't matter. He went to an ATM and pulled out a bunch of cash, if the person he was going to see didn't want him, he would need to pay for a hotel room, and he didn't want to be tracked on his location and purchases.

Russia then went to a coffee shop, bought a small one and started to sip it. He was gonna go into the bathroom and change his disguise so the government wouldn't recognize him. Then, he would be free. Totally completely free, for two weeks. Then he would have to go back to his old life. Russia sighed. But he would have to take everything he could to get away for short periods of time.

Russia went into the bathroom after he fi washed sipping his coffee and went into a stall, he tapped his disguise and changed it to the masculine one, then took his phone and dropped it on the toilet, making sure it flushed before leaving.

He wouldn't be tracked, and couldn't be heard. No technology was left for them to hear him. Russia smiles as he began his slow trek towards the house he was planning on going to.
