Note: This takes place in 1995 after an AU where Russia goes on a 4 year world trip helped by a lot of other countries, mostly America and his extended family. During this Russia finds out they are nonbinary and learns so much about the outside world. They start to try and become a better person.

The moment Ukraine lashed out at Russia nobody was surprised.

The fight was like it was choreographed, having been played over and over again as they were kids and teens.

Pinches thrown to the gut and to the face with screams of frustration. Russia flinging Ukraine away only to be pushed into the floor of the meeting and struggling.  Russia pulled him into a hug before flipping them over so they were on top of their brother.

"How dare you ask for forgiveness!" Ukraine spat at Russia, kneeing them right in the crotch and pushing Russia over himself. Only to get a knee to the face.

They both got up and panted, staring at each other. Arms wide and both leaned over. Their stances wide.

It was clear this fight always ended in a draw being pulled off each other. Russia had the advantage of size, Ukraine strength.

"I've changed Uke."

"We've all changed! That doesn't change what you did! What you've done!" Ukraine shouted and Russia got smaller.

"I know. But I want to make it up to you."

"You'll need more than pretty words to win me over sister."

Russia stiffened. "I am *not* your sister."

"Oh? Disowning me?"

"I am **not** your sister. Your sibling yes, but sister? I stopped being your sister years ago."

They moved back into a fighting stance. Both hesitating to make the first move.

"Are you sure about that? You ran away and joined America while we suffered? You're right. You're not my sister. You never were my family Russia. None of you were!" As Ukraine turned for a second Russia lunged at him.

They were knocked to the floor and Russia sat over his shoulders. She pinned his arms by his head. "SAY IT! SAY IT AGAIN BITCH!" Tears formed in Russia's eyes and Ukraine's feet kicked uselessly behind him.

"You are *not* my family," Ukraine's voice was filled with conviction and Russia bared their teeth and growled at him.

"Oh look at you, growling like the dog you are. You were always Soviets dog."

"IAM JOT A DOG!" Russia screamed into Ukraine's ear before hitting his head with her chin.

His eyes suddenly filled with fear as others now raced in. No longer petrified by the sight of the two fighting, pulling Russia away from Ukraine.

A tear fell off her face as Ukraine pushed the others away, wiping off his bruised face with his arm.
