I might make this my next book, I might not. Idk but I'm liking the characters and the concept right now.

Snow fell Peacefully to the Ground as Edward watched from his mansion. The town it had been near had long since left, but Edward remained. Living in his quiet large house was wonderful, he spent most of his time cleaning dust off of the antiques, and dressing himself in the nicest of clothes. At night, whenever he ran out of food, he would go to the nearest town, now several hours away, and get himself his food. Most would find his requests strange, but the Irwin family had been serving him for 3 generations, it was normal for them to see him.

But, for how far away from the nearest place he was, Edward never expected someone to sneak up on him and collapse in his house.

The person in question, liked like a young girl to him, she was freezing and shivering. Her hair was short and black, much like the cloak she had been wearing. But, one thing stood out to Edward. Her ears. She was part Snow Leopard.

Now, Edward wasn't heartless. He closed the door and carried her next to the fire to warm up. He took off her top layer of soaking clothes and her boots. He daren't take any more clothes off, even if it might help her. He was not about to strip a fine lady of her dignity when it could be avoided.

Edward placed his warmest blankets over her as she lay by the fire. Her body had turned to a more natural colour and she was no longer shaking. The little girl seemed to be doing alright.

Edward then left, he had more things in his house to dust, and more fires to light to keep the house warm. He hadn't had company in a long time so the house could be cold. He could sit with the house comfortably cold, but the girl could not. She was of vibrant flesh and bone. She would need nicer food than what he had.

Edward took his old rifle off the shelf. He would need it for the first time in a long while. Edward also grabbed his long coat by the door before turning to the still figure by the fire. They had dried off considerably and he smiled before leaving.

Blizzard opened her eyes slowly. The sound of the fire was relaxing and they were very warm and cozy. Wait. Fire? Blizzard closed their eyes and listened hard. She couldn't hear anyone in the house. They carefully opened their eyes, scanning the area they could see without moving. Nothing seemed amiss and they seemed okay.

Damn snow.

Blizzard got up and started checking all of their body. Nothing hurt. The air was kinda cold but not too bad. Blizzard stretched and wiped their eyes. She felt much better than before she had even left into the snow. They absolutely hated snow, but avoiding it couldn't be helped. She immediately started looking for the others thay had been taken off her. They were on the stoned in front of the fire. Completely dry now. They must have been there for awhile. Blizzard had no clue how long they had been asleep, but they quickly started putting the warm clothes back on and wrapped the cloak on their body.

They knew they weren't in the right house for their quest. There were supposed to be at least two other people. But even if one left for some reason, the other would have stayed, that meant that there was only one person. Strange.

Blizzard looked around the house to get a feel for whatever the person who helped her was like. Nothing was familiar though. It all seemed ancient, at least 100 years old if not older. Strange.

She looked for anything that was remarkable. There was a huge wild boar head stuffed. Okay, so they definitely liked to hunt. But despite all that, the whole thing was very generic. It reminded Blizzard of those weird 1800s dramas her mom used to watch.
