"SWEETHEART WE HAVE TO GO!" Ella called from her room, Millie replied quickly insisting she would be out in a minute. To watch the practices today, Ella opted to wear simple blue jeans and a red hoodie. She tied the laces of her white shoes and shoved the white cap onto her head, looking for her sunglasses as she also rushed out the door.

She jumped into the passenger seat, and soon enough the girls had arrived. Millie clung to Ella's arm like her life depended on it. The pair followed the man through the crowd to the red bull base. "Daddy!" The girl squealed, running towards her father who caught her in a hug. "Hey Princess."

Max took one look at her and shook his head. "That red better not be for Ferrari."

"Of course not!" She said unconvincingly, "red for red bull... Obviously," smiled Ella, Max rolled his eyes with a smirk. "Dad when are you racing?" Millie tugged on his arm, trying to catch his attention. "In two hours," he declared, lifting her effortlessly onto his shoulders. There were people everywhere, Ella didn't know anyone except for the father and daughter in front of her.

"Excuse me, you look lost." A woman tapped Ella on the shoulder, when she turned she was greeted with a short beautiful woman with the warmest smile. "I'm Lily, and you are?" She outstretched her hand, "Ella, nice to meet you!" smiled Ella, shaking her hand. "So are you a reporter? Mechanic? Girlfriend?"

"None of the above, I'm Millie's nanny, this is my first time being here." Ella admitted, embarrassed. Lily exhaled as everything started to make sense. "What about you?"

"I'm one of the girlfriends, Alex Albon?" Lily wondered whether Ella had heard of him, she shook her head apologetically. "Sorry I don't watch F1! My family does but all I know is they hate Max Verstappen and love Ferrari," Ella giggled. "Wait... Your family hates your boss?"

"Technically they don't know he's my boss," she shrugged her shoulders, Lily laughed loudly. "Gosh I love you already! Give me your number and when the boys are on the track I'll come find you and Millie!"

"Okay perfect, here you go." Ella smiled as she put her digits in Lilys phone, Lily waved goodbye and rushed to find her boyfriend. Ella hurried back over to Max and Millie, Millie was sat comfortably on the bonnet of the car that to Ella looked like a spaceship. "Ella! Do you like my Daddy's car?"

"Yes, do you?" Ella laughed, Millie nodded. "Antonella." Max said suddenly, ushering her to come and talk to him while Nico watched Millie. "She thinks her ear defenders is a headset like the redbull engineers have, play along." Ella nodded at his words, and returned to Millie's side, she lifted her off the bonnet as an interviewer came to speak to Max. Millie held Ella's hand tightly as she watched, focused on the woman talking to her father.

Later, when the first practice began, Lily had located Ella and Millie. Millie gave Lily a very warm hug, apparently Lily used to look after Millie on Fridays during practice when her boyfriend Alex drove for Redbull in 2019 - when Millie was a tiny baby.

"Elsy, can I go on your shoulders to see better?" She asked, tugging at Ella's sleeve. Ella tried to redirect her to the big screen but it wasn't enough for Millie. Ella couldn't give in, and Lily helped her reach Ella's shoulders. "You okay?" Ella asked, Millie cheered and held on tight to Ella. Ella was terrified of dropping her, and was even more scared of Max finding out if she did.

Luckily, she didn't. Millie enjoyed watched the race and surprisingly so did Ella. It was more fun in person, whenever it was on the tv while she was walking through the living room it never seemed appealing. Her father enjoyed it, and her brothers. But she never really got into it; her brothers insisted it was because she was a girl.

For Practice 1, Max had finished sixth. Ella couldn't believe how fast all of the cars were. It wasn't the best weather, but Millie still had a lot of fun watching her father finish first in the second practice. When he was finished, he avoided the reporters rudely and ran straight for his daughter, hugging and kissing her once more. "I'll be right back Princess, I just have to talk to a few people." He promised, Millie nodded and took Ella's hand again.

"Max! Max!" Ella heard the reporters shout. "Are you excited for Qualifying tomorrow? Are you confident in gaining pole position?"

"First we have FP3 to worry about, we had a rough start to today but ultimately pulled through. I think with the weather being unpredictable we are just taking things one step at a time." Max answered professionally, and walked away with encouraging, smiley waves.

"Do you want to take her home?" Max asked her, Ella shrugged her shoulders, and insisted she didn't mind. Max turned to his daughter and assured her he would be home soon, kissing her cheek once more. The girls began walking away before Max shouted after them. "Antonella, did you enjoy the practices?"

"You did well, Max." Ella grinned, Max couldn't help but smirk devilishly before waving goodbye to Ella and his daughter.
