Luna POV
Almost two whole years had passed since the night I was dragged back here. For months I would stay up at night hoping that someone was going to come for me. But no one did. I finished my training with the Andersons and just recently completed my hatsu.
When Liam found out I had developed a healing Hatsu he was furious. He locked me up and refused to give me and food and water for weeks repeatedly yelling "heal yourself" until finally he came up with a loophole. To heal people, I used nen to manipulate people's life energy. I distributed the blood and life energy to the affected area to rapidly speed the healing process. But Liam taught me how to do the opposite. To use my manipulation of blood and life energy to kill. It took a while to become affective but now I can drain the life out of someone in an instant.
Lily taught me to be numb. She taught me to stop hoping for my friends, to stop caring for others, even to stop caring for myself. Being numb always seemed so bad, but compared to heartbreak it seems almost peaceful.
"It's time for your final test" Liam spoke to me as the other siblings gathered around "we have all agreed on what we think it should be. Those so called friends of yours have made some issues. The boy named killua has just stolen his younger sister in an effort to save Gon. The Zoldyck's hired us to make sure that does not happen. Your mission is to kill the girl Alluka and anyone who gets in your way. Show no mercy. Do you understand?"
"Yes" I muttered back. I thought about seeing Killua again. About killing his sister and as a result killing Gon. I thought I would feel something, but I didn't.
"If you want, feel free to heal Gon after your mission is complete. He has an influential father and many influential friends who will owe you one." Lawrence said ending the conversation.
The next day I headed out. I wasn't going to waste my time trying to hunt down killua, because I knew where he was headed.
As I walked into the hospital where Gon was being kept it smelled like death. I was worried perhaps I was too late and Gon died already. But when I walked to the room he was in I heard the slow steady beats of his heart monitor. I sat in front of the window shocked at the sight in front of me. What could have happened for Gon to look this badly? Would I be able to heal him after all?
After a while I could feel Killua's presence. I turned back to look at Gon. Doubt filled me. I want Gon to live. My mission is not to kill him it is to kill Alluka. Perhaps I can let Alluka try to heal Gon first and kill her after. That way I'll be able to see her nen first hand.
Killua walked into the room I was in and as soon as he spotted me he stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes got wide and started to water. I could sense the presence of two other people, butlers of his if I had to guess. I looked down at Alluka, the small girl that was clinging to killua. She was cute. She looked very young. But she felt powerful. I could feel it.
"Luna?" I heard Killua mumble out.
"I can do it" I said looking at Killua. "I can heal Gon" I said. I wasn't exactly sure what my plan was but the words seemed to just flow together.
"Luna where have you been, how did you escape?" Killua began but I cut him off.
"Let me heal him" I said
Killua slowly nodded as I slipped into the room. The dark aura in the room was enough to suffocate me but forced my way to Gon's bedside. I grabbed his arm. It was all rotten. He looked like a tree. I turned to look at Killua.
"Give her to me" I said making a show that I had Gon's hand in mine.
"What?" He asked looking puzzled
"Give me the girl or I'll kill him"
Killua's body stiffened and his grip on Alluka tightened. He stared me down and tried to find a hint of something to help explain why I would do this.
"You can't kill you have a healing hatsu" he said finally
I looked over to the doctor in the room with me. I stuck my hand out and stole his life energy. He didn't know nen and so it was easy enough to drain the life energy I didn't even need to touch him. The more powerful nen user the more contact and time was required. But killua got the picture.
Fear was pumping through him I could see it even though he tried his best to hide it.
"It is my mission to kill her, so choose. Killing Gon isn't my mission but it will prevent her from being able to heal him. Which is a part of my mission so choose" I said
"Why are you doing this" killua yelled "How could you do this to Gon!! How could you do this to me!!"
I didn't answer. I didn't move at all. Just waited for Killua to say the words. Suddenly he looked at Alluka.
"Nothing?" He said as the girls face changed and her eyes and mouth became pitch black holes. "Send Luna back to the Andersons"
"Okay" she muttered
Suddenly I was back at the mansion. In front of the siblings in an instant.
"You failed" Liam said getting up. "Get ready for what happens when you fail"
