Hisoka POV

I watched as she silently fell asleep.
"So what do you think" I asked Illumi who hadn't taken his eyes off of her.
"I think that if you didn't obviously have some weird obsession for her I would have killed her by now." he said in a monotone voice.
"Awww come on admit it. She has so much potential. Did you know she's only 8 years old. Just think about how powerful she could be when she's our age" I grinned. I was getting so excited just thinking about it.
"What kind of person just lets an 8 year old take the hunter exam by herself." Illumi huffed
I thought about that for a while. At first glance it would seem she grew up in a loving environment by her cheerful attitude and the lack of scars on her body. Not to mention her upbeat and outgoing spirit. But looking deeper she didn't seem that distrubed when she saw me kill all those men and is still comfortable enough around me to leave herself so defenseless. So death must not be new to her. Also why had someone already begun teaching this girl nen and her fighting skills from what I saw when she attacked Illmi wasn't too bad either. And lastly Illumi was right, what kind of person would let an 8 year old take the hunter exam alone if they cared about her well being at all.
"Who knows" I finally responded. "She says she's friends with Killua"
"Killua doesn't have friends. We didn't raise him that way." Illumi confirmed
"I don't know. I don't usually make friends with such stupud useless and powerless people, but here we are" I smirked
"If Killua ever claims her as a friend then I'll just kill her. Teach Kil a lesson about friends." he said before turning and going to sleep.
I took one last look at the small sleeping child cuddled up in my lap, one of her hands clutching onto my shirt. It was a beautiful sight really. I can't wait for her to get older. I can just imagine breaking her. Making her scream in pain as she begs for life. I can't wait to tear away all her confidence as she realizes she was never a match for me. Such hopeful thoughts calmed me a bit as I also drifted off to sleep.
