"(Y/N)!" Damien called. I jumped up from the wall, collecting myself from my natural sleepy state. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and cleared my throat, "Yes sir?" He smiled softly at me and grasped my hand gently, "Did you not sleep last night?"
"Not really, no. I kept feeling this...terrible feeling rise in my stomach." I explained quietly. Damien squeezed my hand gently and released it, "I'm so sorry for that, dear. But as I was saying, I do need you to go down and hand these forms to Pam, so they can send them to our friends in Japan." He handed me a large stack of files, and placed another on top. It was at least ten pounds of paper on my hands. I groaned and readjusted them, "I'll be right back then." He held open the office door for me, "I'll grab the elevator for you-"
"I'm taking the stairs. The elevator takes entirely too long." I giggled. Damien laughed too, then following me to open the stairwell door, "Be careful. Don't trip and fall." I thanked him silently. The paused.
"Damien?" I sighed, "During this expansion...what will happen to me?"
"What do you mean?" He smiled softly, "You're not going anywhere, as long as I can afford you. And I'll always be able to afford you. So don't worry and panic." He massaged my shoulder for a second before he released it.
I smiled and stepped into the well, him then shutting the door behind me. I tiredly sighed, and started to make my way down the multiple flights of stairs. At least I was getting my workout for the day, or the week. I heard another door open from above, listening to their feet travel down a couple of flights. They stopped, their plastic key-tag clanging against the railing, "(Y/N)?"
I looked up, the man with brown eyes staring down at me. Abe.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, "You should be with Damien?"
"I was asked to bring this forms down to Pam. And who are you to tell me where I should and shouldn't be?"
"I own this building-"
"And so does Damien." I pushed the hair out of my face and continued down the flights of stairs, ignoring as Abe called and shouted at me. It didn't take long before I finally reached the bottom floor, Abe must've stopped calling for me flights before. I pushed open the door.
"(Y/N)! Good morning! I didn't see you come in this morning!" Pam called.
"That's because I came through the back door, so I didn't have to talk to you..." I mumbled, the clearing my throat, "Anyways, I'm supposed to give you these files so you can send them to Damien's business partner in Japan. So, I'll just leave them here with you-"
"We should go out to lunch!" She smiled. Pam grabbed the files and placed them her in filing cabinet, then folding her hands onto her desk and grinning to me again, "There's a cute little restaurant down the road-"
"Pam, we're not friends." I shook my head, annoyed, "We're not friends, we're not partners. We don't go out for lunch, and we don't hang out. You made that pretty clear the first day we met." Pam looked deeply hurt as she tucked herself away further from me. I rolled my eyes and fixed my hair, "Is that it, can I go?" She nodded slowly. The front doors swung open, and two large men walked through. They were dressed in black clothing, and scars covered their faces, almost making them look unrecognizable. They approached us, shoving me slightly out of the way so they could stay directly in front of Pam.
"I need to speak with the owners of this establishment." They demanded, "Where can I find them?"
"Do you have a meeting with them?" Pam asked with a shakiness in her throat, "Allow me to check my computer-"
"No, just tell us the room number, and we'll be on our way." One yelled.
"I can't do that. I can have my assistant here," She gestured to me, "Go and grab them."
