"What are you doing?" Damien called from the kitchen doorway. I smiled over my shoulder and slid a plate over the counter towards him, "I made you breakfast, since you're...disabled at the moment."

"I'm not disabled." He sighed, "I still have one functioning hand. That's enough to make you some breakfast." Damien still sat down and ate the meal I had prepared. I knew he was very thankful. I sat next to him, watching as he ate. I thought about the kiss from last night. My lips tingled when I thought about it. I wanted to experience it again.

"How did you sleep?" Damien asked. I snapped away from my perfect reality, "Oh, yes. I slept wonderfully. How did you sleep?"

"Could've been better." He sighed, then raising his hand to gesture to the red cast. Damien smiled once again before he stood, and carefully cleaned his dish. He then dried his hand, "So what now?" I shrugged and rubbed my arms, "Not sure." We awkwardly stood with each other. I opened my mouth  to speak, but was interrupted by the opening of the front door.

"Hello?" Chase called loudly. Damien playfully rolled his eyes before he left the kitchen. I gently touched my lips before I joined them in the living room. Chase's hands were crossed over his chest, and Damien looked at him very sternly.

"What happened?"

"Pipe out, (Y/N)." Chase snapped, spit flying from his mouth.

"Hey." Damien growled, a little calmly, "Don't talk to her like that, she's involved too."

Chase glared at me for a moment before he sighed, and uncross his arms, "Pamela is suing the business."

"Pam?" I echoed, "Why?"

"Abe convinced her." Damien finished, "Apparently when you had your episode, it made her PTSD worsen. She hasn't been to work for months."

"So why doesn't she sue me-"

"Because she doesn't want to sue anyone. But Abe knows that a lawsuit like this, will make everyone pull out. Japan, Canada, Ireland -everyone. We will lose thousands, and even worse, many will lose their jobs." Damien worried.

"So what do we do?"

"We need to handle Abe. We handle him, and then everything will fall right into place. We need a lawyer. And they'll speak to Pamela, and hopefully, it will blow over." Chase interrupted. Damien softly looked to me for an answer. I stuttered shyly, "I think I need to talk to Pam. Maybe I can resolve the situation. If not, then we get a lawyer."

"You're going to make it so much worse, (Y/N)." Chase rolled his eyes and turned back to Damien, "What now?"

"I think (Y/N) is right." Damien announced proudly. Chase rolled his eyes and flopped to the couch, grumbling to himself. I smiled to Damien, and whispered quietly, "Thank you." He gently rubbed my shoulder before sitting next to Chase again.

"How much are they suing for?"

"Twenty millions dollars." Chase sighed.

"Dear god, that's-"

Damien silenced me with his hand, respectfully, "Thousands of people got hurt, and many died."

"Abe wants the business." Chase explained, "And he knows that making someone sue -since he wasn't on the property- will make that happen."

"But he was." I announced slowly, "Abe was on the property. I saw him-"

"(Y/N), he wasn't on the property. He didn't even check in that morning."

"He did." I shouted rudely, "I saw him when I was going downstairs to the lobby. He was at least two flights above me."

"So why didn't he check in?" Damien pondered.

"It doesn't matter, we're getting sued!" Chase yelled. We remained silent for a moment. My world was spinning like crazy, I couldn't catch my breath. Everything was crumbling under Damien's feet. He worked so hard to build this business, only for his 'partner' to ruin it.

"Let's forget it for now." Damien smiled, "Let's go eat."

"Now, really?" Chase scoffed.

"Why don't you two go see Abe?" I suggested, "I'll grab some lunch with Pam, and we'll try to figure it all out."

"Finally. Someone is making sense now."

"Chase, what the hell is your problem?" Damien shouted, "Why are you so angry towards everyone. Everyone is trying to help, everyone is trying to save the business"

Chase bit his lip and folded his arms, and turned away. His face then hardened for a moment before he stood, and yanked open the front door. Damien rubbed his forehead and releases a strong sigh. I gently rubbed his forearm, "It's going to be okay. I promise."

"I know." He charmed. Damien pressed a sweet kiss onto my forehead. I hummed softly as I leaned into it, grasping at his hand.

"I didn't think you'd actually want to come out and eat." I laughed, covering my mouth with a hand. Pamela smiled and adjusted her black glasses, "I haven't really gone out for a good meal in a while, so. I'm surprised you wanted to come to lunch with me."

We awkwardly stared at each other for a minute before turning away and glancing at the menu.

"I was thinking about getting-"

"Has Abe talked to you?" Pamela interrupted softly.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Like has he talked to you, about Damien?" She continued.

I gave her a confused look and played with my fingers, "I don't talk to Abe. I don't - what do you mean? Are you talking about the lawsuit?"

"Lawsuit? You know about that?"

"Chase and Damien told me this morning. Why would you want to sue the business? Look, I'm sorry about the shooting, and I'm sorry that I came to work when I shouldn't have, but think about how many lives you'd be ruining because-"

"I don't want to sue! But Abe said-" Pamela paused and cleared her throat, then leaning in closer, "Abe needs this to happen. He needs Damien out of the office for just a few days to-"

"So you're going to take down the whole business just for that?"

"(Y/N)." Pamela laughed slightly, "You really just need to talk to Abe."
