Once I woke in the morning, our bed was empty. And cold. Damien must've left early this morning for work. I think he said something about a meeting earlier yesterday? Or did he? I can't remember. I rubbed my eyes and leaned up out of the bed. I'll swing by the building later and bring him some lunch. Maybe he's forgotten about last night. I groaned, I can't believe I dropped the 'L' word. Of all people, I dropped the 'L' word. That's so awkward, I made everything awkward between him and I. God. I slipped out of the bedroom and slowly trailed into the kitchen, where I found an empty sink. I cocked my head to the side out of confusion. Damien usually has breakfast in the morning? Was he in a rush and forgot? Maybe he grabbed something along the way to work? That's something he's never done before. I ignored it and started to prepare myself some breakfast before I headed into work myself.

"Hey!" A voice shouted from the front door as it swung open, "Is anybody home?"

I jerked up in surprise and stormed from the kitchen, revealing Chase Brody standing in the doorway, his hands up in the air.

"What the hell?" Chase shut the door and gestured behind himself, "Damien was supposed to pick me up from the hospital, but he never showed? I had to take an Uber to get here."

I laughed and wrapped him into a hug, "I'm sure he forgot. We kinda had a crazy night last night."

Chase hugged me tightly before slowly releasing me, "What do you mean? What happened?"

I bounced on the balls of my feet, then letting a river flow from my mouth as I explained everything that had happened the night before. I watched as his eyes widened from surprise then to confusion. His mouth was slight agape by the time I had finished explaining.

"I think you just took him by surprise, that's all." He dismissed, "But that was kind of a big step, don't you think?"

"It just slipped out, Chase!" I whined, "I didn't even mean to say it, I was half asleep!"

He let his head fall to the side as he examined me for a moment before perking back up, "Well you said it, and now you got to own it." I rolled my eyes and playfully shoved into his shoulder, "Whatever. I've got to get ready for work, okay? Are you coming with me?"

"No, I need to go spend some time with my daughter." He smiled, "I'm taking her somewhere special."

"Good morning, (Y/N)." Pamela called from the front desk, her smile large and bright. I swiftly came to her side and leaned in close, lowering my voice, "Have you seen Damien this morning? Did he seem okay?" Pamela gave me a playfully, confused look and explained that she had not seen Damien this morning, but that she could've missed him since she did come in late.  I rubbed my face out a annoyance and waved her off. That helped me with nothing.

"Oh, wait!" Pam then called quickly before I could disappear into the elevator, "He is in back to back meeting, so he told me that you wouldn't really be needed today."

Oh, so now he doesn't want me around him? I let my hands slap at my sides and charged out of the building. So much for us communicating, Damien. My skin was practically boiling at this point as I ripped out my phone to send a very angry text to him. Something along the lines of this is immature. I'm sure it wouldn't take long for him to respond since being immature is something Damien hates being called.

When I made it back to the manor, I found it to be empty and silent. It was uncomfortable. It wasn't something that I was used to. I slapped my keys and my bag onto the side table and slipped off my shoes. Maybe I should leave these here so Damien can trip over them and-

I stopped myself and grabbed the heels back up, best to put these back into the closest. I twisted open the closest door and slapped my heels onto the floor. And then I noticed. I almost stubbled back. Damien's side was completely empty. His suits, dress shoes, and coats were gone. What the hell? I stumbled out of the closest and ripped open our dresser. His drawers were empty. All of this clothes were gone. My head then began to spin as I stumbled out of the bedroom, my hand on my head.
