I slowly opened the front door, peering into the living room. I couldn't see anyone, so for all I knew, I was alone. Why did I need to talk to Abe? What did he have that I needed? I locked the door behind me and slipped off my shoes. Pamela didn't give me any of the information I needed, and I'm not the type of person to threaten someone. I flopped onto the couch and rubbed my face.

"Get anything from Pamela?"

I bounced to my feet, jerking behind me to glance at the person that leaned over my shoulder, "Oh! Chase, I didn't think you were back yet?"

"Yeah, Damien decided to go by himself." Chase sighed and collapse onto the couch next to me, "Anyways, Pam?"

"Oh." I sighed, and then bit into my inner cheek, "No, nothing." Chase rolled his eyes. I did the same, the choosing to ignore him. What could Abe possibly tell me? What secret did he have?

"Chase." I called to him. Chase slowly turned to me, then making a sound a recognition.

"How long have you known Damien?"

"Uh...a while? Maybe..." He paused, then began to drift off.

"Well, when did you both first meet?"

"I don't...I don't really remember..." He trembled, "Honestly." I gave him a confused look, but he widened his eyes, "Seriously, (Y/N).

"Okay, okay! I believe you." I panicked slightly. Chase ran his fingers through his hair quickly. I hesitantly placed a hand onto his shoulder. He completely froze for a minute before he stood, and patted his pants, "Are you hungry?"

"Hungry? N-no? I ate with Pamela?"

"Great! I'll go grab something. I'll be back!" Chase swiped his keys from the side table and rushed out the door. Weird. I stared to the door, trying to piece together what had just happened. Why was Chase being so strange?

After a few hours, Damien had arrived back home with tired eyes. Bags formed underneath them and his arms sagged to the floor. He placed his key on the side table by the door and brushed a tired hand over his face. A shaky breath left his pink lips before he turned to me, and smiled. I smiled back and opened my mouth to speak, "When did you and Chase meet?"

His face contorted in confusion, then letting out a small laugh, "Uh, we met in college. We shared the same dorm room, and he was terrible at it. The room was always a mess and he-"

"Chase couldn't remember for some reason?"

"Well you know Chase." Was all Damien replied with. He collapsed onto the couch next to me and gestured for me to join him. I sat gently and stared at him closely, "Get anything from Abe?"

"I never found him actually." Damien sighed.

"You were gone for hours?"

"I tried to find Abe," Damien explained, "Then I got lunch myself."

I rolled my eyes, slightly annoyed that he didn't just come home in the first place. Damien noticed and decided to laugh it off, then patting my leg, "Why? Are you hungry?"

"I wasted my time with Pamela, and you come back with nothing." I puffed, "And maybe I am."

"You can come to dinner with me?" He asked cautiously.

"I think Chase is actually bringing something back?"

"No, he texted me about getting busy between him and Stacy." Damien explained, "If you don't want to go, that's completely fine, I just wanted to ask-"

"We can go out, Damien, it's fine." I smiled back.

Damien seemed to perk up again, smiling softly and slowly rising from the couch. He reached out -with his good hand- and pulled me up from the couch.
