Sylvia felt like she was in a nightmare she couldn't escape from. Her life flashed before her eyes, finally coming to the realization that she was not safe.
She would never be
Sylvia tried to stand up quickly, but stumbled over her feet, falling backwards.
Gasps from the crowd echoed throughout the room upon seeing Schlatt.
Everyone Sylvia knew froze, all having an expression on their faces as if they just looked death in the eyes.
Sylvia crawled back slowly as Schlatt rose to his feet, tightening his grip on Isabella's dagger.
"Schlatt, why are you here?" Dream asked while stepping in front of Sylvia.
"I've just come to retrieve my fiancé is all." Schlatt grinned.
No one was buying it, especially Dream. His eyes narrowed.
"She's not going with you."
Schlatt laughed. "Oh? What's this change in heart, your Highness? You have feelings for the lady now, don't you?"
Dream hesitated. "Don't make assumptions. You put her through hell and I won't allow you to continue to destroy her."
Schlatt snickered, playing with the dagger in his hands. "That's funny, coming from you."
Dream could no longer hold back his anger, grabbing Schlatt's collar and wrist to prevent him being stabbed.
Dream's actions only made Schlatt laugh harder. "You sure you want to be doing this, your Highness?" Schlatt's smirk only fueled the fire in Dream even more.
George and Sapnap could feel the tension from across the room, they looked between each other, nodding.
"Everyone, please leave at once for your own safety!" George yelled.
Within an instant, the guests pushed through each other to the door.
Sylvia tried to blend in to the crowd, standing up and walking backwards to Punz.
Her friends followed behind the crowd of guests reluctantly. Niki stayed behind for a brief second to see Sylvia.
After all, it could be the last time she sees her best friend.
