IT'S LATE
YOU SHOULD SLEEP

Quackity watched as Sylvia gazed out of the barred window. The ground from above blocked most of the view, allowing a small part of the moon to illuminate Sylvia's eyes.
"I find comfort in the night, it's not as easy for me to fall asleep."
"Is it because of your other self?"
"I guess you could say that."
Sylvia had explained her secret earlier that day, everyone listening closely and asking questions. Quackity seemed the most interested in her capabilities, trying to limit his continuous questions.
Their conversation paused, but Quackity tried to end it on a good note.
"Get some sleep at some point, though. It's easy to let yourself go in a place like this." He smiled.
Sylvia looked to Quackity as he was getting comfortable on the floor.
"I'll try, goodnight."
"Goodnight, your Highness."
It was strange to still be called by the honorifics, especially in an environment where no one cared about your status.
Sylvia sat down on her bed, staring at her feet. She removed her dagger from under her mattress, watching it shine in the moonlight.
"How nice it would've been if you were able to use that blade." Dream said, startling Sylvia.
Dream was sitting on his bed as well, somehow unnoticed by Sylvia. He had his right knee up, resting his right hand on top.
"What do you mean?" Sylvia asked, still eyeing her dagger.
"I mean if you used it against you-know-who."
"Stabbing her wouldn't have solved anything. You know that."
"Oh Sylvia, you aways try to sound rational, but I know you. If you had taken the chance, she would be dead."
"I probably would be too."
"Probably."
Both sighed at the same time.
"You're interesting to me." Dream said after a long pause.
"How so?"
"Your two sides: rational, and psychotic."
"Funny how they contradict themselves." Sylvia smiled.
"See? Right now you're calm and thinking logically. In any second you could be trying to stab the guard."
