"What's going on?" Wilbur asks, becoming wary.
"I was just over at Schlatt's house, and things didn't end very well..." Sylvia laughs nervously.
The group sat in the available chairs in the study, giving their attention to Sylvia.
"One of the maids gave me insight into Schlatt's love life, hinting that I wouldn't be around forever. I talked with him privately about how I couldn't marry him, feeling like something was off already." Sylvia sighed.
"He didn't take it well, of course, trying to reassure me that I'd learn to love him. Tension grew stronger and he locked us in the room we were in. I told him that he was insane and he said that my father told him the same thing once." Sylvia gripped her dress tightly, seeing that Ranboo's face became more serious.
"Essentially, Schlatt told me that he-" She paused, looking up to Ranboo. "Schlatt was the one who killed our father."
Ranboo was taken aback, sitting up straight. "What...?"
The other men's eyes widened, looking between Sylvia and Ranboo.
"How was- how did he do it?" Ranboo asked.
"Poisoning." Sylvia responded.
"That doesn't make sense though, someone would've found out." Wilbur pointed out.
"His whole death was brushed off as an accident with nothing to prove. But I was told that Melanie was an accomplice." Sylvia huffed.
"Melanie?!" Ranboo yelled.
"Sorry, who?" Wilbur asked.
"Melanie was the maid that we were around the most growing up, being a type of mother figure after our mother died." Ranboo had his head in his hands.
"Holy shit." Phil whispered.
"But things went further than that." Sylvia continued. "Schlatt said that us getting paired together was a coincidence, but he's had intentions to kill both me and Ranboo ever since he killed our father."
"Is that why you're here?" Technoblade asked.
"No, the reason we're here is because I stabbed Schlatt."
