A month before Shaira's18th birthday .. (also Ni-ki's birthday) , Jake decided to fly to Australia once again to finally meet the girl . He remembered the plan that Shaira's father and him talked about - Their engagement . But he and Shaira was still at the level of Friendship .

He couldn't think of a way on how to make the girl fall for him because whatever he'll do , Shaira's heart still beats for Ni-ki . He even tried to indirectly confess to her by some joke to cover up what he really wanted to say , but still she hasn't get it . It feels like her heart was shut close and Ni-ki was the only one who could open it . And he hates him for that .

He is currently waiting for his dad to fetch him at the airport . But before the car stop in front of him , he heard Shaira shouting for his name so loud that caught the attention of other people near them .

" Jakeyyy ! I missed you !" she shouted full of excitement . Jake didn't hesitated to run to their car to finally meet the girl that he dearly love .

" oh , I never thought you'll come with dad Shai .. I missed you too " He said as soon as he entered the car then kissed the girl on her cheeks .. the girl slightly blushed by the sudden contact

" I wanted to surprise you , that's why .. " She said but Jake just pinched her cheeks

" You're so cute " He stated

" ehemmm .. sorry to interrupt your mini reunion , lovers but I just want to say that I'm also here son " He said while looking back at them before starting the engine ..

" oh ! sorry dad . I was just carried away .. I'll make it up to you when we get home . promise " he giggled that earned a smile from his father

" Sooo Shai , how are you here ? " He asked the younger girl beside him but Shaira was busy opening Jake's bag to see if there's something that he get for her .

" mm'kay .. but you don't get me something ? There's nothing here but your things " She sighed in disappointment

" I brought you my heart " He cheekily said which made the girl smile but hit his head playfully

" What would I do with your heart then ? As if you'll give it to me literally " she joked

" Literally ? Do you want me to die?" he said shocked

" Why would I ? I don't want to lose a best friend" and her words stabbed Jake's heart painfully .. well it's true , they're just .. BEST FRIENDS

" aww .. why would you hurt me this way ?" he jokingly said and squeezed his chest dramatically

" You and your dramatic ass Jake Sim " she scoffs and the boy just pouted his lips

" so gross .. stop pouting . And by the way .. please sleep over at my place " Jake's face lighten up when he heard Shaira's invitation . They used to do sleep overs since they're both young but it unknowingly stopped years ago . And he doesn't know why .

"But didn't we stopped doing sleep overs ?" He asked

"Yeah? But we didn't decided it to stop .. it just happened " She answered " Are you uncomfortable with it ? You can refuse if you want " she added but Jakes shakes his head

" No , no .. I would love to sleep over " he excitedly exclaimed

"Son , you have to come home and greet your family first .. why are you being so whipped ?" his dad said with a teasing tone

" oh right ! Thanks for reminding me dad .. I almost forgot " He said and his dad just nodded

" We can do it tomorrow then , princess " He said to the girl
