I couldn't believe it. An assassin that I had just met turned out to be my twin sister. Why did my parents never tell me?! And Rowen, I was disappointed in him the most. And I couldn't believe that I had let the shadows loose. The room was covered in darkness. Mother was screaming. I gasped and took a few steps backwards. The shadows disappeared.

Everyone looked at me. They looked at me in fear. My breathing grew heavy. I couldn't be here. So I ran out of the room. "Alexandria, wait!" I heard Rowen say. But I kept on running. I ran out of the castle. I ran through the kingdom of Doriella and out into the open. Then, I saw woods. I ran towards them and entered their sea of trees. I ran until I could barely breathe.

I stopped in the middle of the forest to catch my breath. I sat on a tree stump and tried to steady my breathing. Then, I heard footsteps. Ryia appeared. She looked almost as out of breath as I did. "Damn, you sure can run" she said. "Stay away from me. I'm too dangerous" I said. Ryia laughed. "Your not dangerous at all. I've heard of the power of shadows, I can tell you all about it" she said.

"Power of shadows?" I asked. "Well, that's obviously what you have, right?" She asked. "I have no clue" I said. We sat there in silence. Suddenly, Terrin and Aaron appeared. "You bitches sure can run" said Terrin. "How dare you say that word directly to a women!" Said Aaron. He barely looked out of breath. Terrin laughed. "I can say whatever I want" he said.

Terrin looked at me and said, "so Ryia's evil twin possesses dark magic?" "I don't possess dark magic, and I'm not evil!" I said. Terrin laughed. "Well, that sure looks like dark magic if you ask me" he said. "Yeah, well nobody's asking you because your dumber than a box of rocks!" Said Ryia.

Terrin laughed again. Aaron rolled his eyes. "Are you alright, your highness?" Aaron asked. "I-I don't know. Go back to the castle you guys, I need to be alone. I don't know what's going on with me" I said. "After we ran all this way? No way we're going back yet!" Said Ryia.

"Yeah, I can't believe you made me run all this way!" Said Terrin. "She didn't MAKE you do anything! You chose to run. If you wanted to, you could have stayed in the castle" said Aaron. "Well, I couldn't leave the lovely princess Atheena on her own" Terrin said.

"Don't call me that" said Ryia. I looked at her. I couldn't believe we were twins! Than suddenly, Rowen showed up. "Oh god, not you!" Said Terrin. "Oh shut up Terrin!" Said Ryia. Rowen sat on the ground next to me. He was as out of breathe as I was. "Do you mind explaining to me what happened in there?" He asked.

"She wields shadow magic" said Ryia. Rowen looked at me in disbelief. "I didn't know it was shadow magic until today! I've only known I had it for three days now" I said. The black mist was coming from my hands. I shakes my hands, and it disappeared. "I can't control it. It seems when my emotions get wacky, so do the shadows" I said.

"Yep, that's definitely dark magic. We better have her executed before she overruns the world with evil shadow monsters!" Said Terrin, laughing like it was a joke. Ryia picked up a stone and threw it at Terrin's head. "Ow, what was that for?!" He yelled. "That was for being a prick to my sister!" Said Ryia.

That made me shudder, when she said 'my sister'. Terrin just kept laughing. "Do you ever shut up?" Asked Aaron. "No. It gets annoying, but I usually just beat him up" said Ryia. "It's happening again" said Rowen. I saw the most from my fingers. I shook it away.

"You really need to learn to control that" said Terrin. "You think?" I asked sarcastically. "It it just you, or does your mother and father have these powers as well? Or should I say.....our parents?" Asked Ryia. I shook my head and said, "I don't know. They never said anything about shadow powers".

Ryia thought for a moment. "It has to be mom or dad. You see, I have powers of the fae, because we are related to the great fae queen Azura. Either mom or dad has to have these powers in order for you to, it's the only way" she said. I sighed. "Do you know anything, Rowen?" I asked.

Rowen shook his head. "Really? You don't need to keep anymore secrets, you already did a really good job on that about hiding Atheena" said Terrin. Ryia threw another rock at his head. "Ow, again!" He said. "I swear, I'm telling the truth" said Rowen. "I know. I believe you" I said.

"Well, rather you are or not, we need to find out if it's mom or dad" said Ryia. I nodded. "Well, I think it's father. When the shadows enveloped the room, I heard mother scream. If she had the powers, she wouldn't scream. She would most likely be shocked that her daughter had them as well, which would make her speechless" said Rowen.

"Well, your a real genius aren't you?" Terrin asked, laughing like it was a joke. "No, the real smart one here is Aaron" I said. "News flash! I don't care" said Terrin. I rolled my eyes and ignored him. Aaron smiled at my compliment. "Alright, let's get back to the castle, it's getting late" said Ryia.

"But....what do thing Laithen has to say about this?" I asked. Aaron laughed and said, "who cares? He's an ass!" I smiled. "Alright, let's go then" I said. We walked back to the castle together. My parents were waiting in the throne room with Laithen and his parents. "Alexandria!" said mother. I gulped.

Father walked over and said, "why didn't you tell me about these....powers you have?" "Because, I didn't know about them until two days ago, and I didn't want to scare you" I said. Father smiled and said, "you did not scare me my dear, for I have these powers as well". "I should have put money on it!" Ryia yelled.

"You just have to learn to control them. And I will be glad to teach you how" father said. I smiled and said, "ok". "So....your not evil?" Asked Laithen. I shook my head. "Alright, I guess your doable" he said. I groaned. It was going to be a long week.
