I still couldn't believe it. Ryia had won the fight for me, and then left for her training. I had just gotten my sister back, didn't she want to stay with us? Did she truly even care? It was a question that haunted my mind. But deep inside, I respected her decision. She wanted to learn more of her true powers, and I understood that. But she was willing to give up her family and happiness. That,I'm do not understand.
Later on the night she left, something happened. I was sitting in my room with Aaron, when a royal maid knocked on our door. "Their is a visitor here. He says he needs you, and it's urgent" she said. I nodded, and Aaron and I made our way to the throne room. When we got there, a boy was waiting for is. He looked about my age, and he also had a worried look on his face. Then, he looked at me. For some reason, he looked shocked.
"Wow, you really do look like her!" He said. "What?" I asked. The boy shook his head and said, "sorry, I got distracted. My name is Leo, I'm a friend of Ryia's" he said. "You...are?" I asked. He nodded. "And I'm here to ask for your help. On her way to the fae kingdom, Ryia was captured by the king of Verrine's soldiers" Leo said. "What do you mean she was captured?" Said a voice.
I didn't even know that Terrin had walked into the room. "Are you sure this is true?" Asked Rowen. He and Laithen were standing near the thrones. I barely noticed them either. "I'm positive. I saw it with my own eyes, but.....their was nothing I could do" Leo said shamefully. "Well you should have done something anyway! Now because of you, Atheena is gone, and possibly dead!" Yelled Rowen. "Stop! It's not his fault" I said. Rowen sighed.
"The king of Verrine? That's king Simon. He's only twenty one years old, and he wields shadow magic, just as Alexandria does" said Aaron. "Thank you captain obvious!" Said Laithen. "Well, I didn't know this, so that is very helpful information to me" I said. Aaron smiled, and I smiled back.
"I think I know where Verrine is, and I wanted to know if you would help me find Ryia" said Leo. "Of course I will! She's my sister!" I said. "Me too, I'll help as well" Terrin. "As Alexandria's personal guard, I am required to come with her. But if I had a choice, I would still go" said Aaron. I smiled. "I'll go too....I can't loose another sister" said Rowen. I could tell that he was upset I was going.
"The noble thing to do would be to help my future sister in law, so I would like to go as well" said Laithen. He chuckled. "Oh, hell no! You are NOT coming with us" I yelled. "Well, my lovely little fiancé, Leo said he thinks he knows where Verrine is, but I know the exact way. Without me, you'd be lost" Laithen said mockingly. "He does have a point" said Terrin.
I groaned. "He has to come. I don't want to get us lost" said Leo. I groaned again and said, "fine. Let me get my bow". I ran up to my room and got my bow and arrows. When I came back to the throne room, their were already horses waiting for us outside. We walked outside and got on our horses. I saw the black mist come from my hands, and I shook it away in frustration.
"Alright, I'll lead the way. Follow me men, and my lovely little fiancé" said Laithen. He chuckled, and I groaned as we followed Laithen's lead into the distance.
