I woke to sound of a voices, lots of voices. My eyes slowly flickered open and I assessed my situation. Surrounding me was Leo, Aaron, Alexandria, and Terrin. Wait, when did Terrin join the party? And didn't Alexandria pass out? "How did all this happen?" I asked trying to shake away my head ache, it didn't work.

"Well you see it seems Terrin has been keeping a rather large secret from us. It seems that he is a shadow weilder and Simon's younger brother." Alexandria said eyeing him as though trying to find out whether or not he was a traitor. "Wait Simon's you're older brother?!" I asked. "Yes my mom was the ruler of Verrine before him and she always favoured him over me." Terrin said bitterly.

I sat in shock not knowing what to make of all this. "Come on are we just going to sit here and wait for Simon to find us, I mean I know its a shock but we can discuss later so lets go" Terrin said walking out the door. "He's right lets go" I said getting up and walking towards the darkness.

Within seconds my vision was useless, I couldn't see a thing. The shadows surrounded us like a monster closing its jaws around its prey. We followed Terrin and Alexandria, keeing physical conntact to at least one of them so that we wouldn't be left behind. We had turned so many times I had wodered if maybe we were going in circles. This castle seemed to be a never ending maze.

Following them was hard for they went quite fast and turned cornerers about seventy times. We tried to keep quite but the soud of us bumping into walls echoed through the castle as we turned yet another corner . Thump badump crash! "Are you alright!" Terrin exclaimed bending down to asses my injuries. "I'm fine lets just keep moving" I said hiding the long narrow scratch that went from my mid thigh to the bottom of my knee.

I limped along careful not to make anything to make my bleeding too obvious. Soon though my breathing started to hitch. Crap! "Hey Ryia are you ure your alright?"Aexandria asked worriedly. "I'm fine and I'll be much, much better once we get out of here so let's go already!" I exclaimed quietly .

My mind fell into a daze as we continued to walk. My limping got worse and I started bumping into walls more often. I was starting to slow everyone else down, alot. I tripped oer something and fell to the floor once more I tried to stand up but my arms wouldn't move."Can one of you guys please help e I don't know why but I can't seem to be able to move" I said trying once more to stand.

"You know, Ryia there is a reason people asl if you are alright. Its because we want to make sure you can still move your mucles" Terrin said as he leaned down to pick me up. "Oh brother what on earth do you think you are doing with my bride to be? You aren't trying to steal her away are you? Oh and to think I was going to make you the man of honor" Simon said laughing.
