Y/n POV

After walking Steve back to his home, me and Bucky made our way back to his apartment, the walk was quiet, but not in a bad way. I could hear our feet shuffle through the pebbles that were laid on the ground, the faint howling of the wind, and sounds from cars passing by. If we walked past a restaurant there would be the sound of millions of different little conversations. Me and Bucky walked up the steps to his small home. He unlocked the door, we walked inside, I took off my shoes as did Bucky. We found ourselves on the couch again, listening to the radio.

The war, all that anyone talked about.

Bucky turned the noob on the small old fashion radio, silencing it. He looked over to me, put his hand on my shoulder, I buried my head into the crock of his arm, I closed my eyes and started to drift off, I assumed Bucky did the same.

That morning I found myself awake, on Bucky's couch, with Bucky's jacket wrapped around me, but no Bucky. I yelled out his name because I figured if he was in the apartment somewhere he would be easy to find. The door to his room busted open, He was wearing his uniform, hat and all. I looked him up and down, and smiled as I shook my head.

"What do you think?" he asked

I walked over to the boy, and looked up at him and went in for a kiss, I released and whispered, "I think it suits you"

He smiled and kissed me again.

"Lets go get something to eat," He said, I nodded my head, I got out one of the dresses that I kept in his dresser, we put on our shoes, Bucky grabbed my coat off the hanger and put it on for me. Then we started our walk to the local dinner.

"So, you, me, Steve, my last night, let's do something fun"

He opened the door for me, and we walked in the small dinner, "your idea of fun is going to a local sports event and yelling at the top of your lungs, get the ball!"

"And you're saying that's not fun?" we sat in a booth close to the window,

"Well"

"Whatever, no I'm saying, this" he hands me a news paper for an ad for World Exposition Of Tomorrow,

I read the paper as Bucky continues, "then I was thinking we go dancing after"

I looked up from the paper, "Steve can't dance"

"He just needs a partner," Bucky told me, as a waiter came up to take our order

I hated when he did this,

"What can I get started for you guys today?" The waiter asked

"Hello ma'am, I will start with a cheese omelet, with a side of bacon"  Bucky told her

"Wonderful, and for you miss?"

"Blueberry pancakes, please" I told her, handing her the menu, she noticed the newspaper that was by my cup of water

"Are you two going to that?" she asked us referring to the ad on the paper

Bucky smiled at me, then looked to the waiter, here he goes, "we were, but my friend Steve, poor guy, we don't want him just tagging along with us, would you be interested in going?"

There it was.

"What's he like?" the lady asked Bucky,

"Oh well, I mean, he's smart, and charming, and a great person to talk to"
