An unexpected date

Y/N's POV

"Can I put on some music?" I ask Jimmy, "Sure, feel free to put some on" I turn on the radio and start going through the different channels, I find nothing until I stop in one to see they have just started to play 'Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy' by Queen

"I love this song," Jimmy says smiling at me as we stop in a red light, "So do I, Queen is just generally amazing" I add and Jimmy nods, "A hundred percent, not only was I a mystery obsessed kid but I was also a music-obsessed kid" he explains me and I chuckle imagining little Jimmy listening to music

"I honestly would not be able to go through my day without music," I tell him and he nods agreeing, we then start to sing along to the song moving our heads and slightly dancing. The radio station keeps on putting great music which funny enough both Jimmy and me like so the whole 45 minutes drive to the restaurant was a lot of fun

Once we arrived we both get out of the car and walk into the place, "Reservation for James E. Woo" Jimmy says to the man waiting at the front, "You made a reservation?" I asked Jimmy, "Of course I did," he tells me winking at me

"There you are, please follow me, Mr. and Mrs. Woo," he says walking away with two menus in his hand, we arrive at the table and he places the two menus on the table walking away, Jimmy goes to move my chair back for me to sit and I thanks him,

"What do you think of the place Mrs. Woo" Jimmy asks taken a seat, I roll my eyes at the name and chuckle, "I think it's amazing," I tell Jimmy smiling at him, "So what are you planning on eating?" Jimmy asks me as he picks up the menu, I do the same and look at it wondering what I should get, "Still not sure, there are a lot of good options here"

"Yeah some Italian seems great", "But some Mexican also sounds delicious" I point out and Jimmy nodded, "True, very true"

In the end, I decided to get Mexican and Jimmy got Italian that way we can also share and enjoy both options, "Favourite book?" I ask him, "Oh that's a tough one, maybe 'The Fault in our Stars', you?", "That's a great choice I love that book but my favorite has to be 'They Both Die At The End," I tell him

"What is it with us and tragic books?" he asks and I shake my head chuckling, "I have no idea, they are just great," I tell him, "Right, the tings is-" and then Jimmy's phone starts ringing, "Oh god, I'm sorry I have to take this Y/N is from work", "Don't worry go head"

He stands up and goes outside, I wonder what the call is about, I hope everything is okay, I have been having such a fun night, I don't want it to end early, after 5 minutes he comes back in.

"I'm really sorry for taking so long it was my boss" he explained to me taking a seat, "Everything okay?" I asked Jimmy worried, "Yeah everything is fine, I just got a new case that I need to start after the dinner" he explained to me, "Oh wow, it sounds serious, what-" and then I get a call, "I'm really sorry," I say to Jimmy taking my phone out, "Hey it's okay, take it"

I walk out taken the call, "Agent L/N here" I say, "Y/N, I have a case for you" uncle Nick tells me, "You serious I'm busy right now", "It's the same case as Woo" oh, wow, that's interesting, "How did I get the same case as Jimmy?" I ask him

"The FBI was given a case out of their understanding and reached out to S.W.O.R.D for their help, so we came to the conclusion of making two of our agent work together in the case, they chose Agent Woo and I of course chose my best agent, you" he explained, I chuckled, "You really are the best, when are we suppose to start the case?" I ask him, "Now, good luck," he says ending the call

He really needs to stop doing that, I walk back inside and take a seat, "Your uncle?" Jimmy asked, "Yeah, he actually informed me that we are going to be working on the same case," I tell him, "Really? That's great", "I know, but he also told me how he wants us on the town now to start the investigation" I explained to him, "Oh, does that mean", "Yeah it means we have to go after eating"

Once the food arrived we had a small chat while eating, once done I tried to par for my food but Jimmy insisted on paying since he was the one who invited me on the date, "You really didn't have to pay for it" I told him as we walked away, "I was the one who invited you, I had to"

I chuckle looking at him, "I had a lovely dinner, thanks Jimmy" I told him as we got in the car, "So did I, we should try it again, but longer next time" he said and I laughed nodding, "Yeah we should"

"So where are we heading now?" Jimmy asked me, "Fury said that he would send me the address of the town as well as give us the detail of the hotel we are staying at with things for the mission waiting for us at the dorms" I explain to him, "So let me just check my messages"

"We are heading to a town called Taos in New Mexico" I explain to Jimmy, "It is around an hour and a half away"

"So we should be there by eleven maybe eleven-thirty if there's traffic" Jimmy adds and I nod, "Yeah, the name of the hotel is 'American dream' it seems nice," I tell him showing him a picture of the place as we stop in a red light, "It does look nice," he says

"So what's the case about?" Jimmy asked, I looked at him confused, "They didn't tell you what the case was about?" he shook his head, "They told me, my partner would know" he said turning his head and winked at me, I smiled and shook my head, my cheeks turning red

"Well the case is about a group of missing people, they haven't been found yet, and strangely enough all of them are related" I explained looking through the case document I had been sent, "Really? It's weird they are all related" he mentioned and I nodded agreeing, "Yeah, it's a bit suspicious honestly how they are all family"

"How many are there missing?" Jimmy asked, "About 8 people," I told him yawning, "Are you feeling tired?" Jimmy asked me and I nodded, "Kind of, but it's fine, I'll manage," I told him chuckling and looking at the window, "You should get some rest, this week you barely got any, I'll look out for you"

"You sure?" I asked, "Of course, I'll wake you up when we arrive," he tells me giving me a soft smile, I thank him and lay back on my chair closing my eyes and falling asleep.

Jimmy's POV

As I stopped in a red light I turned to look at Y/N, she was fast asleep, her eyes shut and face relaxed, she seemed very at peace and as always she looked beautiful. I still can't believe we got paired for this case, I mean what are the chances, it seems too convenient, it might have been Fury who paired us up, but either way, I'm just happy to spend more time with her.

Y/N started shaking so I decided to take off my blazer and put it on top of her to keep her warm, "Thanks" she said under her breath and I smile to myself.

It took us an hour to get to the hotel as there was no traffic, I parked the car outside the place and walk to Y/N's door to wake her up, "Y/n...Y/n wake up we are here" I tell her, "Already?" she softly asks and I nod, "Let me help you out" I tell her putting my hand out

She takes it and steps out of the car, "We should go to the reception to get our rooms", "Yeah let's head there"
