As the summer came to a close, Harry got more and more worried about his first day of school. What would the people think about his scar? Would they think he was weird, like in his old school back in England? Hopefully not. The whole reason he moved to America was to start over his life, not bring back old memories of his early childhood.
These thoughts clouded his mind for the next couple of days, which were spent alone in his apartment. He barely left, only to go on short walks, or to get something from the store. He pondered the idea of not going to school, but technically that was illegal - and the last thing he needed was the cops to come after him.
But as the last day came to a close, Harry realized that school couldn't be that bad. He would just keep to himself and not let anyone get too close to him. Because if he accidentally revealed the Wizarding World to someone, he had a grim future ahead of him.

The next morning, Harry woke up to the dusty smell of his apartment. He rubbed his eyes, and looked over at the alarm clock, which read 6:45.
He got ready for the day, trying his best to style his hair, and putting on a shirt that wasn't too big for him. He ate a simple breakfast of cereal and yogurt, then rushed out the door and started walking to the school.
When his eyes looked over the school they widened in amazement. There were kids everywhere. Harry walked in the general direction everyone was heading, a few people bumping into him as he walked down the wide hallway. Tan colored lockers lined the walls, many people rummaging through them. He found his own, and got the books for his first class.
As he was walking he got pushed to the ground, the things in his hands spilling across the floor. He tried to look up to see who it was, but whoever it was was long gone. As he scrambled to pick up all of his things, someone stopped by him. It was a taller guy, with brown hair, and a red letterman jacket.
Harry looked up at him, a scared look on his face. His size made him look intimidating, but the sympathetic look on his face told him otherwise.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft.
"Yeah, someone just pushed me over," Harry replied quietly, grabbing his books and standing up. The boy held out his hand.
"Finn Hudson," he said confidently, a small half smirk on his face.
He shook the boy's hand. "Harry, Harry Potter," he stuttered, trying to stifle his English accent with no effect. He made a mental note to work on that.
He looked into his eyes, which were now fixated on the scar on his forehead. Harry pushed his black hair in front of it self-consciously, and the boy - Finn - looked away awkwardly. They parted ways, and Harry went to his first class, looking down so he didn't make eye contact with anyone. He could already feel the people's stares on his forehead.
He slumped into the classroom, sitting in the seat farthest to the back of the room. His tablemate looked at him curiously, his hazel eyes widening when he saw his lightning shaped scar. Harry took a second to get a good look at him. He wore a enormous amount of hair gel in his dark hair, and had a stylish outfit, complemented by a matching bowtie. He looked away quickly, focusing on the lesson that had just started.
After a while, the teacher presented the assignment, and Kurt was instructed to work with his tablemate. He turned over to the gel-haired boy.
"Hi, my name's Blaine," he said sweetly. "We better start working on this project."
Harry only nodded, then started working with Blaine.
"Are you okay? You seem a bit shy," he said, writing the final words of a paragraph.
