Harry paced through his apartment, his heart beating rapidly out of his chest. His loud footsteps echoed through the room, and possibly to the floors below. His audition was today, and he was terrified. He had had this feeling before of course, when he auditioned for the Glee Club. But then, he already knew he was going to get in. Now though, he actually needed to be good.

"I got this." Harry said out loud, trying to be confident. "I am Harry Potter, and I will not be afraid." He faked a smile to himself.

Grabbing his bag, he walked out of the apartment, to the school. He forced himself to keep his mind off of the audition, and to focus on his schoolwork until the end of the day.

He walked into the building, and was immediately greeted by Blaine.

"Hey!" He said, flashing a charming smile.

Harry let out a sigh. "Hi."

"It's auditions today. How are you feeling? Do you think you're prepared?"

"Good, but aren't we supposed to be competition? I mean, we're both auditioning for the same role in the musical . . ."

Blaine chuckled and said, "Don't worry about it. Remember what I said, no matter what happens, we're still best friends. And I already know that you're going to kill this thing."

Harry smiled gratefully. "Come on, let's get to our first class."

"Ok guys," Mr. Schue said after they finished their vocal warm ups, "remember, you guys are all prepared for this audition. You guys got this! Now let's get to the auditorium to begin!"

Everyone let out breathy sighs, and started walking in the direction of the auditorium.

Rachel and Finn were holding hands, and Finn was whispering reassuringly into her ear.

Oh yeah, Harry thought. Rachel was auditioning for Sandy, the lead.

They went down the steps of the large room, and Harry saw that Artie, Coach Beiste, and Ms. Pillsbury sat in the seats.

Reality seemed to catch up with him.

This was it.

Heading backstage, Harry took some deep breaths, and watched as the people slowly started getting called up. As he watched Mike Chang perform "Cool," (which Harry actually recognized) someone came up to him from behind.

"You're going to do really good you know."

Harry turned and saw that the voice came from Ginny. "So are you, what are you auditioning for?"

She looked down and smiled. "I'm not. Auditioning I mean. I'm just going to do backstage stuff, I'm not good enough for a role."

"I've heard you sing before Ginny, and your voice is breathtaking. You should audition for Sandy! I'm sure they would still let you in."

"I didn't prepare anything, and plus, I don't think I'm ready."

"You don't need to prepare anything, you're magical."

Her eyes seemed to light up, like there was a special meaning behind the word. And there was for him, but obviously not for her.

They locked eyes for a second, then Artie interrupted them.

"Harry Potter?" His voice went up like it was a question, which slightly annoyed him.

Then, Harry got an idea. "Sing with me. 'Summer Nights.' Come on."
