After classes that day Blaine picked Harry up and took him to his house. When the shiny car pulled into the driveway, Harry's jaw dropped. Blaine's house was huge. Huge wasn't even a good enough word. It looked like something out of a reality TV show where everyone was billionaires.

"Oh my God Blaine." Harry muttered, walking up the steep stone steps, standing in front of the front door.

Blaine let out a sigh. "My parents are are kind of rich." He paused. "But they don't really act like parents most of time."

"Don't worry I know what it feels like. Not with my parents, but my Aunt and Uncle." Harry replied, giving him a nervous smile. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Blaine chuckled. "Just don't remind them about the fact that I'm gay, and just nod along with everything I say about you." He opened the front door, and his Dad ran over.

"Who's this?" He asked sternly, making a chill run down Harry's spine. Blaine's Dad eyed him with suspicion, and he resisted the urge to look down at the stone cold floor.

"Dad, this is Harry. He joined the football team with me." Blaine said brightly, clapping his hand on Harry's shoulder. "We're going to do a but of a workout together, so I was wondering if you could leave the house for a couple hours."

His lips thinned, and his eyes closed momentarily. When he opened them again, he said, "You play football? Your as thin as a stick."

Blaine sucked in a breath. Harry hesitated before answering. "I'm stronger than I look." He shrugged, trying to keep the look on his face as straight as possible. Blaine's Dad nodded and pointed down to the basement. Blaine muttered a thank you and they rushed downstairs.

The basement was just as grand as the living room. It was complete with a bar, a bowling alley, and of course a workout room, though they obviously weren't going to use it. Instead, Blaine brought Harry to a another room. Based on the various musical posters and competition trophies around the room Harry knew it was his bedroom. It reminded him of Ron's room at The Burrow, with his orange Chudley Cannons posters.

"I know, I'm kind of a music nerd." Blaine said with a laugh.

Harry smiled. "So? Where do we start? I don't really know how any of this works, what I'm supposed to do-"

"Don't worry about that. First we need to focus on your actual voice." Blaine smiled to himself, then continued. "I would assume that you're a tenor like me, so that makes it easy to find audition songs."

Harry nodded. "Is there anything I should know - like, do I have to anything before I sing?"

"My biggest advice is: don't focus on performing the song, focus on the emotions that are associated with the song you're singing. So when you're choosing a song, choose it based on what you're feeling in your life. It helps you connect with the music."

Harry nodded. He was definitely going through a lot. It should be easy to find a song that suited his feelings, but was easy enough to sing as he was only a beginner.

"So, let's start singing." Blaine said after a second. "Show me what you can do."

Harry took a breath, then sang.

Two hours later, Harry was feeling much more confident. They had sang many different songs, figured out his vocal range, and they had worked on his actual singing voice. Contrary to his thoughts, Harry was actually really good at singing. Even Blaine was very impressed, which was surprising because his voice was absolutely brilliant.
