Many weeks passed, filled with Glee practices, school, and spending lots of time with Ginny. The first signs of snow was in early December, when Harry and Ginny were walking out of school together. Harry had quickly wrapped his scarf around Ginny's neck, as she was only wearing her Cheerios uniform, and was shivering in the cold.
Since the closing of the musical, life had been perfect. He was happy, with Ginny at his side, and with great friends. Everyone seemed to notice his increase in confidence and cheerfulness, as they always greeted him more enthusiastically, sometimes even hugging him, which has something Harry wasn't used to with these people.
This was the happiest Harry had been in a long time.
But when Christmas started to approach, Harry was starting to get a bit anxious. This was the first Christmas he'd spend away from England. Away from his wonderful friends, who he would carry in his heart for the rest of his life.
He wanted to have fun for Christmas of course - but it was kind of hard to feel at home when you lived by yourself, and had no family that cared about you. A small hope tugged at his heart, that maybe Ginny would ask him to come over for Christmas dinner, but he ignored the feeling, as it was selfish to expect something like that.
One text message though, which was sent by Kurt, proved him wrong.
Hey, I know you live alone, so I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my house for Christmas Eve dinner. You can bring Ginny along . . . ;)
Harry rolled his eyes at the emoji at the end, but was buzzing with excitement. He quickly shot a text to Ginny:
Kurt's throwing Christmas Eve dinner, do you want to come with me as my date? He was going to add more, but he thought better of it.
Of course I will, sillyhead, she texted back.
He texted Kurt back, with a yes, and many thank you's. He assumed that Blaine would be there too. All of his friends in one place . . . It sounded like it was going to be a great Christmas.

As Harry was daydreaming about his dinner, he remembered something. He had to get gifts for people.
Ideas started running through his head, but he couldn't figure out what to get Kurt, or Ginny. Desperate for some help, he called Blaine.
"So, I know I always call you in these situations, but I need your help," Harry said quickly, before Blaine could answer the phone.
"Let me guess, girlfriend troubles? Or maybe you need to learn how to make pancakes? You should've called Kurt for that," he paused, obviously putting in some real thought. "Oh, I know. You need holiday gift shopping help."
"How did you know?" Harry said mockingly. "But yes, I don't know what to get Kurt, or Ginny, for that matter." Harry breathed to go on about his friends from Hogwarts, and their really personal gift preferences, but he stopped himself before he could start.
Harry could almost see Blaine's smile from the other end of the phone. "So it is girlfriend troubles, kind of," he mused. "Well, I have the perfect idea. We are going to the mall."
"Meet me there now? Near the GAP?"
"Sure."
Blaine hung up, and Harry scrambled to get out of the door. He had been to the mall many times with Kurt and Blaine, and the GAP was their go-to meeting spot.
His bike was waiting by the door (one of his best purchases since the Omnioculars in his fourth year). He took it to the mall, which was only a mere five minutes away, not the 15 it would've been if he had walked.
