The next day in history class, Harry rhythmically tapped his fingers on the table. He tried to pay attention to the lesson, but it was impossible to listen to the teacher's robotic, monotone voice. Blaine seemed to notice his impending boredom, and quickly wrote on his paper, which he should've been taking notes on.What's the matter?
It had become a bit of a routine to talk like that during class.
Nothing. Just bored. I can't wait to start rehearsing for the musical.
The Glee Club was going to start the rehearsals today, and Harry was very excited. Not only would he get to actually learn how to act, and practice his singing, but he got to spend the whole evening with Ginny.
Blaine gave him a sad smile. He obviously felt sad that he was the understudy, instead of actually having the role.
Harry immediately felt guilty.
That meant that Blaine would be rehearsing with him and Ginny. Harry tried to keep the disappointment from showing on his face, but he failed miserably.
He patted him on the shoulder, a gesture that said everything was fine. Harry hoped that he was thinking about the role, and not him and Ginny's love life.
They both returned to their work, eager for the school day to finish, and to start Glee Club.

When Harry walked in the choir room, his gaze immediately locked with Ginny's. The light from the ceiling dancing on her eyes, making them sparkle. She smiled, and Harry's heart fluttered.
He sat down next to Kurt, waving short hellos to the other Glee Club members.
"So, how was school?" Kurt asked. By the look on his face Harry could tell he already knew the answer.
"Boring as always. Glee Club is always the best part of the day."
Kurt smiled at that. They launched into a conversation about the musical.
After a minute, Blaine walked in. He smiled at Kurt, who started nervously bouncing in his seat. He winked at him, then sat down next to him.
Mr. Schue started talking once everyone was in. "So, today the rehearsals for the musical start!"
Harry's eyes instinctively darted around the room to look at Rachel, but he realized she still wasn't there. He had heard from someone that she had gotten suspended, which proved all of his, and the rest of the Glee Club's suspicions.
Finn also broke up with her, so she must be devastated. About the role, about Finn, and about her suspension. Harry genuinely felt bad for her, despite what she did to Ginny.
Tuning out the rest of Mr. Schuester's speech, his eyes wandered back to Ginny. He looked at her for awhile, admiring her. When everyone stood up, evidently to go to the auditorium, Harry followed them.

"That was such a boring practice!" Kurt said as the trio walked out of the school.
"Yeah, because you weren't in the part that they were practicing," Blaine said as a matter-of-factly.
Kurt rolled his eyes. "Well, they could've easily made me one of the background dancers in that scene. I'm not that bad . . ."
Harry chuckled awkwardly. It was interesting to hear Kurt and Blaine talk. They fell into a comfortable silence, but he was eager to break it.
"Hey, why don't you guys come to BreadstiX with me tonight?" he asked.
