Harry took a deep breath. It was the middle of Glee Club, and everyone was miserable. They had just had a practice for Sectionals, and their tiredness only made it worse. Rachel was bringing the whole club down because she didn't get the lead in the musical. Even Kurt and Finn seemed pissed off at her.

When Mr. Schue walked in, everyone let out a simultaneous sigh. He looked up, his usual grin turning into a frown.

"What's up with you guys today?" He asked, grabbing a marker from the whiteboard.

"Two words." Santana drawled. "Rachel Berry."

Rachel rolled her eyes. "I should've gotten the lead, and everybody knows that. Artie obviously made a mistake, so you better tell me right now." She spat out the last two words.

"Rachel, Ginny got the lead fair and square." Mr. Schue said, his voice calm and even.

"But it's not fair!" She protested, standing up. When Mr. Schue shook his head, she stormed out of the room.

Another chorus of sighs.

Then, Mr. Schue started writing on the board.

Happy

"You guys look like you need some cheering up." He explained. "So this week, I want you to sing songs about being happy."

The room lit up, and songs already started to course through Harry's head.

"Class dismissed everyone!" Mr. Schue said. "Oh, but can Harry and Blaine stay here for a second?"

Harry and Ginny's eyes connected for a second, then she left the room. Blaine and Harry approached Mr. Schue cautiously.

He smiled. "So, your callback is on Friday, which is four days from now. Make sure you're ready."

He sent them off.

When Harry got home from school the same day, he started to practice for his callback. Him and Ginny hadn't talked since after the cast list went up, and it was starting to stress him out.

They had almost kissed . . .

But they didn't. And that's what made him mad. For once he was mad at Coach Beiste, even though she was so sweet.

But he didn't let those thoughts corrupt his mind as he practiced his heart out.

By the time he was done he had pushed himself to the limits. He knew that if he was lazy, or didn't work hard enough he wouldn't succeed. That drove him to work his butt off. He also thought about Ginny, being able to rehearse with her, and even perform with her on stage.

Then he thought of Blaine being Danny, and he cringed. He would've make a good Danny if Rachel had gotten the lead, but Harry would not let Blaine Anderson steal his girl.

Even though he was gay.

He rolled his eyes at himself. After that, only one thought stayed in his mind.

Success.

The next day, Harry spent most of the night practicing his song for Glee Club. The "happy" theme was harder than he thought it would be.

He ended up choosing an energetic, but meaningful song that he was sure the rest of the Glee Club would know, and enjoy. He always found it cool when the kids would sing background vocals to peoples' songs. And plus, it was such a fun song, that maybe everyone would stand up and dance around too.
