Everyone has heard the story of Persephone and the God of the Underworld, Hades; of how he kidnapped her out of her parents grasp, leaving her mother Demeter alone, forcing her to stay in the Underworld; of how she unwillingly eat the fruit because he threatened her.

Orion Mikaelson has heard about another version of the story from her grandfather, how her mother Persephone Baudelaire was snatched from within his grasp by the Hades of his life, Niklaus Mikaelson, the big bad wolf everyone was so afraid of. How he lured her into his dark and hell excuse of a kingdom.

When people talk about Persephone and Hades, they always paint her as a victim and him as the villain, but they don't talk about how wary Hades was when Persephone said she wanted to go home. How he was so ready to leave his throne and crown of the Underworld just to make sure she smiles.

None of them seemed to talk about how Hades has his arms full of fire, yet still, none of it managed to touch her. They told stories about how Hades kept her in hell, yet not one flame has the courage to touch her skin, because even hellfire saw how Hades melt within her touch.

No one talked about how Persephone held the face of the Lord of Darkness in her palms and kissed him gently as she thanked him for falling into her trap and rescued her from her beloved parent. No one talked about how Persephone let out a monstrous grin because for the first time in forever, someone finally saw her as equal; someone finally saw her for who she is and not who her family was.

No one talked about how the mortal began to call her an evil former flower because even though Hades was the one who ruled the Underworld, she was the one who was in charge of punishment, and Lord, was she a monster.

But then again, everyone knew how monsters have always been Hades' territory.

Orion always wanted to burst into laughter every time her grandfather tells her the story about how Hades snatched his Persephone away from him, turning her into the Queen of the Underworld, how he writhed in agony when he saw his sweet sweet Persephone on a throne made of hellfire, with the crown of skeletons of the dead who watched her in awe and how it sits perfectly on her head, as if it was made just for her.

Orion wanted to tell him it was his fault all along, he should've named her mother Kore instead of Persephone, for Persephone has always belonged to Hades.

For the Fates had declared how they were made for each other; how both of them would always find a way back to each other.

And even if the Fates decided to unravel their destiny, it wouldn't even matter.

For Hades would always find her, despite the different realm, despite the different realities, and despite the different version they were put.
