The reason why Orion loved ballet had changed from time to time.

She used to love ballet because it looked pretty and she liked feeling pretty in a tutu, hair up in a bun, and having her parents watch her in awe as she demonstrated to them what she had learned that day with Madam Lavigne. After her parents' death, the reason why she loved doing ballet was because that was the one activity where she didn't have to face anyone with a pity look on their face, telling her of how sorry they were; she was glad when Madam Lavigne did not for once, even talk about the incident. She came to the manor two days after the funeral because Orion asked, and just picked up from where she left on the lesson.

Yet now, the only reason she enjoyed ballet was because of the amount of control she could have. Control, out of all the things that Orion Mikaelson could do, controlling her own emotion was never one, especially anger and rage. That one seemed to be a family inheritance, passed down directly from her own father. All this time, the control she had over her anger was all a public facade that she had managed to put up in order to hide the countless times she wanted to just burn everyone that ever pissed her off.

Everything about ballet screamed control that she couldn't have over her own rage; from the violent sharp inhale she could only take for three seconds before she leaps into the air which would immediately be ruined if she took another two seconds of breath, to the control that her brain has for every muscle that moves her legs allowing them to extend in the air held by sheer strength. Just like her, ballet held the capability to fool everyone who watched, letting them see how endearing and graceful her movement was that they tend to forget how endearingly dark and gracefully dangerous she actually was.

Growing up, Orion Mikaelson never really understood the power that she had. She knew she was powerful, everyone had told her that, being the firstborn witch of the Mikaelson family, she was inherited with the amount of power that her Aunt Freya bore, only doubled. What people did not know was that she inherited doubled the power that Freya bore, and Freya, she bore the power that Dahlia bore; such power to bore in such a small frame. Orion finally realised what her Aunt Freya meant, why she wanted so hard for her to manage her emotional relationship with magic.

Vincent had told Orion to lay low on their activity of practising magic while she's home for Christmas break, instead he told her to try exercising the one activity that requires her control the most which were why she had been practising ballet all day since the first day of her winter break. However, on the afternoon day before Christmas, she only had an hour of practice when Davina came to her Ballet Room, telling her that the twins' mother, her Aunt Rebekah, needed her for an urgent emergency. Her family knew better than to bother her when she's practising, and with Davina using the word emergency, Orion wasted no time to shower and ran to where she was.

"Aunt Bex?" Orion called as she opened the door to the Study Room, walking inside as the sound of her heels echoed through the room. "Davina said you needed me."

Instead of her Aunt Rebekah, Orion was faced with the view of Cassiopeia along with Theo, Blaise, and Draco on the sofa in front of the fireplace while Cepheus was sitting on the chair not too far from them, while the heels of his Chester boots were up on the hundred years old table that made Orion immediately cringe, his mother would definitely scold him for that.

"What the bloody hell are you all doing here?" Orion furrowed her brows, confused would be an understatement when she saw all of them in her Study Room despite the fact it was Christmas Eve. "Don't you have a family to spend Christmas Eve with? Or I don't know, a problem to solve or something?"
