Finally! New chapter! :D this is kind of a short one but it is important. Enjoy!
Ryo stormed outside of the school into the night. He was steaming with anger. He kicked a trash can across the sidewalk in pure outrage. Ryo began pacing angrily, grumbling about Yugi. The more he grumbled, the angrier he became. The angrier he became, the easier it became for the darkness to take over him. And the more it began to enter his soul, the more it began to influence his thoughts...
"That stupid, ungrateful brat," he growled. "That moron. He has no idea who he's dealing with. You think you can just insult me, crush my heart, and get away with it?! Yugi, you jerk, you're going to pay for this! After everything we've been through, you still have the nerve to treat me like trash. All I've ever done is try to please you and earn your forgiveness and you just take it for granted! You spat it right back in my face. We'll I'm done playing the nice guy. I'm sick of taking your garbage. You're not going to get away with this. I'll make you pay," he snarled, tightening his hands into fists.
"I believe I can be of assistance then," a wicked voice sneered. The spirit-sealer appeared with the thief inside, looking as excited as ever.
Ryo scowled at him. "Get out of here. I don't want to deal with trash like you right now," he growled.
Bakura pretended to look offended. "Ouch. Harsh words coming from you."
"Well you picked a bad time to show up."
Bakura flashed a wicked grin. Actually, I picked the absolute best time to show up, he thought to himself. The darkness is taking control of him. Time to put my plan into action. He cleared his throat. "Well I happened to overhear you a moment ago, and it seems you seek revenge. I happen to be good at that, you know. Very good. Perhaps I could lend you a hand?"
Ryo snorted. "Like I'd ever take any kind of help from you."
"We may not see eye to eye boy, but we do have a common goal."
"I do NOT have the same goal as you," Ryo snarled. "I am not a bloodthirsty murderer."
Not yet, the thief thought to himself. But don't worry, I'll change that. He sighed. "You're never going to let that go are you?"
"Like hell I will! It was you that just cost me my friendship! I'm not getting any kind of help from you, or anyone else for that matter. I'm finished with any kind of relationship I had with anyone. Especially you," he sneered.
Bakura raised an eyebrow. "Everyone? Even your monster of a girlfriend? After all you two have been through?"
Ryo fell silent. He narrowed his eyes at Bakura. "She has nothing to do with this."
The thief burst with laughter. "Nothing? Ha! Obviously you haven't been listening to Yugi. It's because of her that he hates you. That's his real reason, he's flat out jealous of you. Jordyn is a key part in all this, whether you're it or not. He's going to try and take her away from you. You're going to need help fighting him. So let me ask again, may I assist you in taking your revenge?"
"Why would I ever need help from you?" Ryo growled.
Bakura smirked. "Tell me something Ryo, can you see yourself?"
"What?" Ryo stared at him, puzzled. "No, of course not. You can only see yourself through a reflection in a mirror or water or something like that."
"Exactly. I wish to be your mirror. I want to allow you to see yourself for who you really are. There is true potential in you, boy, I can sense it. If you allow me to, I can help you reach it."
"I don't want to be the most powerful being in the world. I just want to punish Yugi for what he said."
Bakura narrowed his eyes. "You think that you won't need to be your strongest possible?"
"What do you mean? It's just Yugi. He's a weakling,Che has no real strength on his own."
"You forget about the Pharaoh. That crowned brat and the boy are connected. They protect each other and I know for a fact that the Pharaoh won't go down without a fight."
Ryo thought for a moment. "That's true. I guess we have a common enemy then."
The thief grinned wickedly. "What do you say then? I can help you take down Yugi, and in turn you can help me defeat the Pharaoh. Deal?" He held out his hand through the bars of his cell.
Ryo eyed it. "On one condition."
Bakura raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
"I want you to teach me how to use my darkness power to my advantage."
The thief eyed him carefully. "Why me? You have your...teacher." He said the last word with a hint of disgust.
Ryo looked away. "I don't want Jordyn to know that I'm tampering with it. She hates it every time I have to use it." He turned back to Bakura. "So is that a deal?"
Bakura smiled evilly. Oh I'll help you with the darkness alright. I'll get the darkness to fully take over you. Soon you won't know the difference between right and wrong. I'll turn you into a savage killing machine! You'll make the perfect ultimate weapon for destroying the world. He shook Ryo's hand tightly. "Deal."
The Earth cell disappeared around him. Bakura stretched out his arms and inhaled deeply, enjoying his newly found freedom. He smiled happily and stared at the sky. His smile transformed into wicked grin once more as he eyed the moon. The earth's shadow had began to cover the moon in a thin sliver. Just as the flames of darkness begins lick at the moon, Ryo's own darkness has begun to consume him.
"It has begun," he sneered evilly. "Watch your back,Pharaoh. Doomsday is near for you and your pathetic vessel. Prepare yourself! The Thief King is back!
