"What the heck is this?!"

Joey grabbed the note on the cave wall angrily. "'Gone fishing, come back when you can put up a real fight'?!" He showed the note to everyone. There was a little drawing of a stick figure with spiky hair and the Millennium Rod that was sticking his tongue out at them in a mocking manner. Joey growled angrily at it. "You have one sick sense of humor, Marik. I'm gonna kill this psycho!"

The group of teens had arrived at their enemies' cave, only to find it empty. Seto grabbed the note from Joey and looked over it. He turned it to the back. "There's another side to it, Wheeler," he growled in annoyance. "'At the abandoned shrine a few miles from here. Find us, and prepare to meet your end'. That sounds more like Bakura. Anyone know where the nearest abandoned shrine is?"

"I can check," Jordyn said before she shifted into a dragon and flew out. A few moments later she returned. "Well he was right, it's not too far from here. Follow me and I'll take you there."

They flew a few miles through the mountains until they came upon an old-looking building that used to be a shrine. It was worn down and rusted with a broken statue of a dragon in the front entrance. The entrance was dark and terrifying. They stared into it nervously.

"Should we let them know we're here?" Tristan asked timidly.

Atem narrowed his eyes. "I think they know."

Not a moment later, the Winged Dragon of Ra charged out of the entrance, blasting a wave of fire in their direction. They dodged out of the way, narrowly missing being torched by the flame. The phoenix-dragon leapt into the air, laughing wildly.

"So, you decided to show up?" Marik's voice boomed. "Ha! Now you've just sealed your fate!" His eyes turned red and the metal shell of the beast melted away and its body burst into flame.

"He's changing into the Phoenix form!" Atem warned. "Everyone stay out of the way of his fire or you'll be destroyed instantly!" He blasted a wave of purple magic at the blazing monster. It roared in response and a beam of fire exploded from its mouth in his direction. Atem moved out of its reach just in time.

Jordyn shot a stream of ice at Ra that succeeded in burning the beast. He roared and charged at her furiously. She narrowed her eyes and huge bolt of lightning shot out at the phoenix, knocking it back. Ra snarled in frustration and continued blasting its huge wall of flame at the dragon. Meanwhile Joey had snuck behind the monster and prepared to attack. His black sword illuminated and he swung at the beast. A huge beam of light shot out from the sword against the phoenix like an extension of his blade and sliced away at him. It created a huge gash in the monster's back. Black smoke began to stream out of the wound. The monster roared in pain. It whirled around and blasted fire at him. Joey dodged out of the way, slashing at the beast again. Seto and Tristan joined in by then, attacking with their weapons. Even Mokuba had activated his duel armor and was getting some hits in on the phoenix. Jordyn and Tèa blasted their magic at him, while Atem drew his attacks. Surprisingly though, the phoenix held his ground. Marik still managed to fight against them.

Yugi ran through the dark, empty hallway inside of the shrine. He had snuck his way out of the fight without being noticed and was now trying to find Bakura.

"I have to stop this," he said aloud. "Please Ryo, let their be some sense left in you."

He kept running down the hallway until he spotted a light in a room nearby. Yugi entered the room to find Bakura leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. The thief grinned when he spotted Yugi.
