Days passed...slowly turning into weeks....weeks progressed into months....and months turned into years. Five years. Five years had passed since Yugi had seen Jordyn. A lot had changed... Atem was gone, he had returned to the spirit world a week after Jordyn left. Yugi had never felt more alone. Both of his closest friends had left him...

That summer was the hardest. Yugi almost never left his room for the rest of the break. His friends didn't bother him much, believing he needed to get over it on his own. When school started back up again, Yugi finally found the courage to live his life again. He seemed back to normal, but all of his closest friends could tell he wasn't the same. He had lost his usual cheerfulness that he always had. And he wasn't the only one either. The loss of their friends had taken a toll on the whole group. Seto's became harsh once more while he and Mokuba returned to running the Kaiba corp. Tèa became more focused on her schoolwork than ever, hoping to get into a good college. Joey and Tristan got full-time jobs. Ryo kept his distance from the group, hoping to not draw attention and focusing on his raising his sister.

No one heard from Nirvana after that day, and Nick only visited with the group every once in a while. He was forbidden to say anything about Jordyn or the boys though, not that anyone asked. The whole group had come to an unspoken mutual agreement that it was just better not to talk about them. They started to grow apart...

Then Hope arrived. The strange girl who claimed to be from another realm came into their lives. She had a strange power as well, having a bracelet that belonged to a group known as the Vicinity Items, containing the spirit of a white wolf named Entrez. With it, she could shape-shift into Entrez's form, and much like Jordyn, brutally fight the enemy. Hope became the group's friend quickly and with her, they went on many adventures to try and preserve the world's peace. She brought the group together again and they became close once more.

Since Hope joined the group, a few others had become a part of it as well. Roran, a cocky young man with electric yellow eyes joined the group as another shape-shifter, the demonic fox. Along with him, Hope's closest friend from her realm, Breanna, became good friends with everyone and became one of the "pack", as Hope would eventually call it. The newest member, another shape shifter, known as Sawyer, also fought alongside everyone and is considered a close friend, though he doesn't always try to involve himself with the others as much.

Ironically, what Jordyn predicted was correct. Seto ended up with Hope, the two had become fond of one another, since both of them had such similar attitudes when it came to fighting for what they believed in. Both of them said that meeting each other had seemed like nothing but an accident, however later on they wondered if somehow fate was involved in the matter. And so it was, life had become casual and regular. Everyone had seemed like they moved on. And yet, through it all, Yugi still had the pendant under his shirt, refusing to be without it. He was still waiting...

"Grandpa, I'm going out to get some food," the now twenty year-old Yugi shouted as he grabbed his jacket and headed towards the door.

Solomon Moto nodded. "Alright, be careful out there Yugi."

Yugi nodded and went out the door, closing it gently behind him. A lot had changed that year. Yugi had finally gotten his growth spurt and had shot up at least a foot and a half. He had matured greatly over the years, yet he still had a bit of his childish side too. It was a bit sad, maturing, to him. The older he got, the more he felt like he was becoming like Atem.
