Jordyn walked through the empty hallway. It was dark and cold. The hallway seemed never ending with only one way to go.
"Hello? Is anyone here," she called out.
At first there was no answer, but then a loud rumbling shook the hallway, followed closely by a ear-splitting roar that echoed throughout the passage. The hallway suddenly opened up into a room, lit by multiple torches. The light revealed a black monster standing in front of her. Jordyn's eyes widened as she took in the beast. It was huge and terrifying. It had four legs and a long tail. It's pair wings spread out wide. It had empty white eyes along with white talons. The beast shook his massive head and roared. It curled its lip in a cruel snarl, exposing its white teeth. She then noticed its eyes. The monster had three instead of two. The third eye was a glowing gold on its forehead. To her it looked similar to the eye of Horus.
"What is this?" She stared in horror at beast. The beast shook its head again. Jordyn saw golden pendant hanging around its neck. The Millennium Ring, she realized. That means... "Ryo?!"
The beast snickered and smiled evilly. He nodded and licked his lips. It was then that she saw blood on his mouth and on talons. She looked beside the monster and screamed in horror.
"NO!"
The corrupt dragon just laughed. Next to it was a pile of bloodied and torn up bodies. She immediately recognized them as her friends. One of them was missing, however. The dragon moved his front paw to reveal the body of her pharaoh. The girl fell to her knees in shock. "No... Yugi..." Tears streamed from her eyes. "Yugi..."
"You've failed," the monster sneered in a cold hearted voice. The Millennium Ring began to glow. Darkness began to pour out of the Ring and the monster's mouth. It bared its teeth and snarled. "Now it's your turn, DIE!" The dragon let out a bloodthirsty roar dived at Jordyn.
Jordyn woke up screaming. She was in the town park. Just then, Yugi appeared from behind a tree and ran up to her.
"Jordyn? What's wrong? What happened," he asked frantically.
Jordyn broke down crying and hugged Yugi tightly. "You're okay, you're alive," she cried, relieved.
Yugi broke from the hug and stared at her in confusion. "Of course I'm alive. Why wouldn't I be?"
She looked around. "And the others? Where are they?"
"They're all here. They went to get to ice cream. They ARE alive." He paused and looked her over worriedly. "Are you alright? What happened? I went to go get water from the car and I heard screaming."
She shook her head. "It was nothing. Just a bad dream."
"That was one heck of a bad dream. Mind if I ask what it was about?"
Jordyn hesitated. "It was about you guys. And me. And Ryo. But he had become a monster, and he...he..."
Yugi raised an eyebrow. "What did he do?"
She shut her eyes painfully. Tears began forming in her eyes once more. "He killed you. All of you." She started crying again. "It was terrible. I was too late, I couldn't save you guys. I failed."
Yugi hugged Jordyn. "It's okay, it was just a dream. We're all okay, nothing's happened to us. You haven't failed anyone." He sighed. "I take it that you're still worried about Ryo?"
Jordyn nodded. "Nobody's heard from him. It's been a week since he disappeared and I can't get a hold of him. He won't answer his phone or the door at his apartment. I can't shake the feeling that something bad's happening."
