Hey guys! Just wanted to thank everyone who's supported me through this book :) I really appreciate it. And guys, please vote and comment on the chapters. Authors need to know what their readers feel about each chapter. So please comment. We, the authors at Wattpad, will greatly appreciate it. Now, about this chapter. I've finally developed all of the main characters, or almost anyway, so now the main plot can finally begin! Pay attention to what is being said because it becomes VERY important later on. Enjoy! :)
The group finally arrived at Domino High a few minutes later. The school was decorated accordingly as it was every year for the dance. And, just as always, there was an extremely long line to get in. The group got into the line and began socializing with one another to pass the time. Yugi stayed silent through most of the talking and seemed rather upset about something. When the line moved up, he lagged behind.
Joey noticed and walked up to him. "Hey Yuug, what's the matter? You seemed kind of upset back there."
Yugi shook his head. "Nothing. I'm fine." He tried to fake a smile.
Joey didn't buy it. "I'm not stupid Yuug. I'd think that after knowing you for so long, I'd know when best bud is upset." He folded his arms and raised an eyebrow.
"Hey what's the hold up?" Tristan walked up beside Joey.
"Something's up with Yugi."
"Huh, I thought he was acting weird," Tristan agreed. "I thought it was just me. So what's eatin' you?"
"Guys come on, I'm fine. Nothing's wrong," Yugi insisted.
"Yugi, cut the crap and just tell us," Joey said seriously.
Tristan nodded. "Yeah, we're here for you man."
Yugi sighed and glanced at Ryo and Jordyn for a moment. "It's nothing you can help me with. I just need to deal with it on my own."
Joey followed his gaze and his eyes widened. "I get it," he realized. "You like her too, don't you?"
Yugi blinked in surprise. "What? Who?" His face reddened when he realized what he had given away.
"Jordyn. It's true isn't it. That's why you're acting all weird. You're jealous," Joey realized.
"What? No! I am not!"
"Ooh, a love triangle!" Tristan said dreamily. "That's so romantic!" Joey looked at him in alarm. "Uh...if you're a girl anyway."
"That would explain a lot though. You two have been getting really close lately," Joey pointed out. "Especially since she saved your hide from those thugs."
"You guys totally have the wrong idea about this," Yugi said. "I'm not jealous about anything, I promise." He looked back at Jordyn. "She's just my guardian, that's it," he said sadly.
Joey shrugged. "Still, stay out of it Yuug. Screwing around with stuff like this isn't good for anyone."
Tristan nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I've seen enough movies to know that nothing good comes out of these stupid love triangle thingies. It only brings suffering for everyone that's involved. Like Joey said, stay out of it," he warned. "You'll be better off."
"Alright, I get it," he said in annoyance. "But like I said, I'm not jealous."
"What's the problem?!" "Can't you idiots see the line's moving?!" "Move up already!" A group of annoyed seniors behind them were yelling at them impatiently.
Joey growled. Tristan held him back and waved apologetically at the group behind them. "Sorry, not paying attention. We're moving up!" He turned to Joey seriously. "Remember what Atem said Joey, not tonight. Besides those dopes aren't worth our time. Joey nodded and the boys moved up with the rest of the group.
