Night had fallen upon the campsite as they returned. They started a fire a few moments later.
Yugi unzipped his backpack, taking out one the many first-aid kits.
"Good thing my Grandpa packed me so many," he said as handed the kit to Tèa. She nodded and began dressing Atem's wound.
Atem scowled. "I don't understand why you're doing this," he said grumpily. "Jordyn already healed it. I'll be fine, save those for someone who needs it."
"You need it," Tèa insisted. "Jordyn may have healed it, but the wound is still there. It can still hurt you." She rubbed an alcohol wipe against the wound. Atem winced in pain and cringed. Tèa frowned at him. "Don't be such a baby, you've been through a lot worse." She wrapped a few bandages around his arm. "There, those should help."
"Thank you," he sighed gratefully.
Tèa kissed him gently against his cheek and hugged him. "Just be careful out there. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you."
"That won't happen," Atem said calmly. "It'll be over soon and then everything will return to normal. We'll have all the time in the world together."
The campfire crackled. Yugi took out another first-aid kit. He walked to the outside edge of the camp. Jordyn was sitting on a log by herself in front of her tent. She seemed lost in thought.
Yugi sat next to her. "Hey, I brought something for your wounds. I didn't think you wanted to leave those scratches alone," he said, glancing at the three long marks engraved into her cheek from the Dia Bound's claws.
Jordyn drug her fingers across them lightly. She sighed. "I guess not." Yugi handed her a large bandage and she placed it on the scratch. She placed a hand on her cheek and leaned against her arm on her knee. She stared at the ground sadly.
Yugi noticed her odd behavior. "You alright?" He asked. "You seem kinda down." She didn't reply, simply sighing in response. Worry entered Yugi's eyes. "What's wrong?"
Jordyn buried her face in her arms. "Everything. Everything is wrong. I don't know what to do anymore! Bakura is back, along with Marik, Seto Kaiba is under Marik's mind control, and Ryo hates me!" She started crying. "All of you are in danger now because of me. If I hadn't shown up, Ryo would never have let Bakura return. But because I was stupid enough to think we could be more than friends, I lost him. And now I risk losing the rest of you if I fail. It's happening again, this is exactly what it was like before I was put in the tomb. And I failed! I lost everyone. I can't let that happen again, I won't be able to handle it."
"This is not your fault, Jordyn," Yugi told her. "Ryo made his own choice."
"It was because of me. He chose that because he hates me."
"That's my fault," Yugi admitted. "I was the one that asked you to dance with me. And he's angry at me, not you."
"What do you mean?" Jordyn asked.
"I had a fight with him at the dance. It got ugly and he stormed off."
"You fought with him?" Jordyn said in disbelief. "But you never fight with anyone."
He sighed. "I know, but I did. It was right after I yelled at you."
She thought for a moment. "That still is no excuse for him. I can't believe he could do something like this to everyone. Even himself."
"He's not a perfect person. Everyone makes mistakes."
"This is a lot bigger than just one mistake," she said with a sigh. "I should've never agreed to being with him. That was so stupid of me!"
