Chapter 21

It was a few days after the ‘movie date’ as Beomgyu calls it that Taehyun invited Yeonjun to hangout in the evening. Yeonjun had woken up that day feeling a bit enthusiastic, he was like this since that movie night. He just felt really happy doing something that he always wanted to. So when Taehyun invited him to hangout he did not hesitate in replying with a yes.
Now he sat with Beomgyu and Soobin in the cafeteria as they waited for Taehyun to join them. Taehyun was in an interview. They all were planning to have lunch together.

‘I really don’t know why Taehyun
keeps on inviting me to hang out with him, I am tired.’ Yeonjun spoke as he told his friends about their plan of going out.

‘Then refuse his offer. It’s not like he is forcing you.’ Beomgyu replied as he rolled his eyes on Yeonjun’s acting. They all were quiet for a moment before Soobin added ‘You went on a movie for him and talked about how he was so kind and how much you enjoyed yourself, and now you are trying to fool yourself into thinking that you don’t like spending time with him. What kind of drug are you on?’ Soobin concluded with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Yeonjun glared at him before looking back as a commotion arose in workers around them. Taehyun had joined the company quite some time ago but he was never around here in the building quite often hence people were quite surprised yet ecstatic to see him, causing a minor uproar. Taehyun however seemed to ignore that he made his way to them.

‘How was your interview? Beomgyu questioned as soon the younger had settled himself.

Taehyun seemed to ignore him as he messed with his phone calling someone telling them that he was free now. After the phone call Taehyun started telling them about the interview labelling it ok as the interviewer did an okay job. Yeonjun looked at Taehyun in confusion when he visibly brightened up at a text.

‘Hey my friend is here. Can he come in?’ Taehyun questioned as he got up from the table probably to go get his friend. He soon scurried off to get his friend.

‘I think it's ningning,’ Soobin said while smiling. ‘Who?’ Yeonjun countered as Beomgyu reminded him that he was the café guy Soobin was seeing. Then Yeonjun and Beomgyu made fun of Soobin until Taehyun returned with Hueningkai.

Both friends sat down as Huening introduced himself to Beomgyu and Yeonjun. Soobin smiled enthusiastically as he watched Kai meeting his friends. Taehyun however starts talking about his interview again as they all listen to him.

‘The interviewer had good questions but he was so intrusive like he spent 10 minutes asking me about my love life and past love affairs.  I literally had to tell him off then he continued to question my sexuality and my interests and all that shit like respect the boundaries.’ Taehyun sassily told everyone about the interviewer.

The interview was for a high league fashion magazine and that is why Taehyun had not kicked the interviewer; the questions that were not too personal were also good.
They all finished the lunch and the sweets that Kai had brought them.
‘Will you be free by 4?’ Taehyun questioned the CEO as he made his way out with Huening. Yeonjun only replied with the nod before walking towards his office along with his two other friends.

‘Beomgyu get Taehyun a manager and makes sure that no-one makes him feel uncomfortable again during interviews. And while you are at that why don’t you get me some information about who interviewed our pretty Taehyunnie today.’

Beomgyu knew at that exact moment that Taehyun was not just another guy for Yeonjun; Taehyun had already taken place in Yeonjun’s life because Yeonjun does not take care of just every other person.

It was late in evening when Yeonjun came back. First step into the house and he could feel the negative energy coming from the younger boy sitting on the sofa.

Oh Shit.

He knew he was late and it was by all the means intentional. Yeonjun was not sure on what Taehyun was doing. Even though he was enjoying the younger’s attention , Yeonjun had promised himself that Jihoon would be the last guy in his life. He just does not want to hurt Taehyun and maybe showing less enthusiasm will give the younger a sign. A sign of hesitance.

Taehyun on the other hand had an abstract idea on what the CEO was planning but he was not going to give up. Taehyun was already interested in Yeonjun due to his personality and looks but after knowing the truth he just wants to give the older man everything he has to offer.

‘Hyung you are late but it's okay we can still go out. Go freshen up.’ Taehyun spoke as he stood up and moved to the kitchen.

It was already dark outside when they left the house. Yeonjun sat silently while Taehyun drove around the city. He had no idea where they were going but hopefully it will be something he doesn’t like so he can reject the offer and come back. Even to Yeonjun himself the plan sounded selfish but what could he possibly do to avoid all this. He did not pay attention as Taehyun stopped the car and got off.

Yeonjun looked up and his heart stopped beating as the neon lights shined brightly spelling out ‘Amusement Park’. Taehyun was taking him to an amusement park.
Yeonjun exited the car as Taehyun smiled warmly at him asking him to follow him to the entrance.
‘It’s been so long since I have been to the park’ Taehyun says as he buys their passes.

Yeonjun was beyond ecstatic, his so-called idea of rejecting Taehyun left behind forgotten as he looked around with sparkling eyes. Everything was new to him, it was like a place from a fairytale come true.

He looked at Taehyun who was now looking for a ride to start this journey.
Yeonjun looked at the merry go round. He knows he is so old now for this but it was a dream for him, a goal in his life, to sit on those horses, alas his lifestyle never allowed him to come here. Taehyun followed the eye of Yeonjun to the Merry-go-round and grabbed the hand of the elder as he ran towards it.

The evening started with the giggles resonating in the crowded amusement park as two grown men laughed as they went in circles at Merry-go-round looking at each other with joy in their eyes. The night progressed as they went to each ride present there, eating sweet churros in midst of their mission to conquer each ride.

The night finished as they both looked out of the window of their box in Ferris wheel. Both of them felt relaxed. One of them sat there without any thought as he lived in the present while one of them could not stop staring at the other feeling thankful, his heart heavy with affection, thankfulness and unknown love.
