A/N: Hiiii, here's the first chapter, I hope you all like it as I go along writing this story!

~ Ash's POV ~
I got up and packed a couple more things for my journey, I then changed into a blue jacket with white sleeves and collar and my lucky hat
Anyways almost everyone my age had been on a journey for years but, I never really had an interest in leaving at age 10 and leave on a journey
But now that I'm 17 I actually like the idea and I'd like to see the world and all the different types of Pokémon that there are
My mom wanted me to go to a nearby lab to get my starter but I don't want a Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle
I don't have anything against them but I want a unique and cool Pokémon to be my partner and starter, I want to be different from everyone else
I also want to explore another region that isn't my home, I want to explore Sinnoh I've heard so much from that region so I know I'll love it
So as I left I grabbed my phone and a couple of other things I'll need for this journey of mine
I went downstairs as excited as ever
"bye mom! I'm on my way to the airport!" I ran to the kitchen as I stuffed half a roll into my mouth then after swallowing it I drank a bit of milk
"bye dear, stay safe and call me if anything" she smiled giving me a hug
"I will mom love you" I kissed her cheek and left
"I love you too!" she called back
I smiled and was on my way to the airport
Sinnoh isn't terribly far from here so I'll only be 5 hours so I'll be okay when I arrive since I'll technically be arriving mid-day in Sinnoh since it's 3 hours behind the time in Kanto
once I got in Sinnoh I jumped out and just started looking around fields and parks looking at all of the Pokémon around here
I then went to a nearby Pokémon Center and called my mom who was happy to know I was finally here
After that I was walking around a bit more the shops and then went to some woods to explore a bit more as hours past I got pretty tired so I walked a bit and found a cabin, I knocked and no answer so I opened the door and walked in slowly
"hello?" I called out
"uhm, I'm Ash I just wanted to nap a bit that's all" I said and settled down
I blinked and shrugged
"it's probably abandoned" I said and lied down and slept
As woke up it was as if I couldn't move my arms or hands?
"great sleep paralysis" I thought
but I could move the rest of my body like legs and all that just not my arms or hands so I attempted to sit up and I did, felt a rope around my hands, and looked around and saw a girl who was dressed like a witch in front of me
"what happened?!?" I blinked terrified
"you broke into my personal property" she scowled
"I-I didn't mean to, I just wanted to nap . . . " I gulped
"I don't care you still broke into my personal property" she snapped with her hands on her hips
"okay I'm sorry" I sighed
she raised an eyebrow and then hand down type of magic wand?
I sound crazy but it was literally a wand
I closed my eyes as she waved it once I opened my eyes my hands weren't hands anymore they were paws I shrieked and looked around and noticed she was so much bigger than me
"don't worry, this will only last a month or two" she chuckled as she put a mirror in front of me and I saw I was a Pikachu
I screamed and ran away from the cabin with my hat still on my head and backpack on my back
I kept running and running till I reached a nice shade under a tree and rested because of all the running
I lied there looking at the clouds and sat up
minutes passed I guess probably about 10 minutes?
then I heard the bushes moving around I got up ready for anything the last thing I want to do is get eaten by an Ursaring or something
that's when I saw a cute boy with auburn a hair and green eyes, wearing a black collar shirt and purple pants come out of the bushes with an Umbreon
he sighed and then saw me, I stared at him blinking and he smiled and approached me, picking me up
"a Pikachu with a hat and backpack how goofy!" he laughed a cocky, mocking laugh
"be glad I can't punch you" I thought to myself annoyed
he then lifted me up to his eye level and we looked into each other's eyes and I felt a spark but a spark of connection, I think he felt it to since he blinked and shook his head
"he's so cute" he said hugging me, I breathed in his scent he smelled so nice like lavender and coconut
I sighed and he pet me, then it clicked to me: he can help me turn back to normal or something
"listen kid, I'm a human boy but I got turned into a Pikachu by a witch who lives in a cabin over there!!!" I signaled but he looked at me blankly
"I'm sorry, but I don't speak Pikachu . . . but Professor Rowan may help you! He's great with stray Pokémon like you!" he smiled
"what?" this time I heard my voice and it came out as "pika?"
I freaked out and then realized what he said about me
"stray?!? Do I look homeless to you?!?" I scowled
"again I don't know what your saying, let's go to Professor Rowan" he smiled and opened a grey pouch that was on his hip and gave me a piece of Pokémon food
I shoved it in my mouth and it tasted terrible but logical since I wasn't exactly a Pokémon but I smiled forcefully as he smiled as well and started walking
"poor thing probably got abandoned by a trainer" the boy sighed looking at me then his Umbreon
"how do I electrocute this guy?!? Wait, Pikachu is an electric type right? Or is it grass? Or maybe ice?" I thought to myself with a paw on my chin
"isn't he the cutest thing when he's thinking?!?" he turned to Umbreon who smiled with glee, I felt myself blush but I ignored it
"here we are Pikachu!" he lifted me up and moved me around so I could see the lab
I then complained about the name 'Pikachu'
"what? You hate being called Piakchu?" he blinked
I nodded pouting
"okay, uhm" he thought then he looked at my hat which had a tag with my name on it
"ohhh your trainer's name is Ash!" he smiled
"no no no!" I said but he didn't understand he was too busy thinking
"then I'll call you Ashy!" he chuckled
"what?!?" I thought he then looked at my tail
"and your a boy for sure, so I'll call you Ashy Boy!" he chuckled again
"AND YOU THOUGHT PIKACHU WAS BAD" I put my paws up in surrender
"he's so cute when he's mad" he laughed hugging me as we walked in
What a way to start a journey.
