~ Gary's POV ~
Ash went to buy some stuff for his journey just the basic materials he may need
meanwhile I had Professor Rowan give the egg just a couple more check ups and it can hatch soon, I hope Ash comes back soon for him to see the whole hatching process
Once everything was done I sat at the couch watching some comedy special with Crystal and Ivysaur
"so what's the egg gonna hatch into?" Crystal blinked
"you'll see" I smiled
"why are you keeping it a secret from me? It's for Ash" she blinked again pouting
"Crystal you're a big mouth you'll tell him" I laughed
"excuse me!" she crossed her arms as I rolled my eyes
Hours later Ash came and my excitement grew, because the egg was starting to glow
"here Ash" I smiled as he grabbed the box and opened it to see the egg
"wow! An egg!" he gave off his childish grin as always
"i-its glowing!" he smiled as he took it out and made a cushion with his jacket which was an adorable sight
~ Ash's POV ~
The egg started to hatch and I could feel the excitement in my heart
I put my jacket over it and I just saw it glow more
little by little it started to crack and then yellow ears with little black zig zags on it appeared and I took my jacket off of it to see a Pichu
"Pi?" it opened its brown orbs and blinked at me
"a Pichu! Oh my goodness how cute!!!!" I squealed as I picked it up and hugged it
"do you like it?" Gary blinked at me
"Gary I don't like it!" I laughed and he frowned
"I love it!" I chuckled and tackled him to the couch with Pichu still in one of my arms
I hugged and gave him many kisses I couldn't even count them we were so hung up on our moment we forgot Crystal was here
"get a room!" she giggled making me get off of Gary and just admire my Pichu
"Crystal please" Gary chuckled
"awh it's so cute!" I pouted
"I knew you'd like it, I felt like a Pichu suited you best since well you did become a Pikachu" he smiled petting Pichu
"awh! thanks Gare!" I smiled hugging him once more
"oh and he's a boy" Gary smiled looking at Pichu's tail
"oh okay!" I smiled and hugged Pichu again as it complained at my hugging
"sorry" I chuckled
"well this is coincidental" I chuckled
"why you say that?" Gary raised an eyebrow
"I bought new clothes for my journey and look!" I pulled out this jacket which was black and yellow
"we're both gonna be matching" I I chuckled
"oh wow" Gary chuckled shaking his head
"well I should get packing!" I smiled getting up as Gary nodded
"I'll help you" he smiled as we both went upstairs and let Pichu play with Crystal
~ 3rd Person POV ~
As the boy finished packing it was settled to go to his first town
"I better get going" Ash frowned
"remember what we talked about?" Gary cupped Ash's chin
"hm, fine" he pouted
"now, you take care of yourself and call me if anything okay? But when you get to town call your mom okay?" the older boy smiled
"fine, you know you sound more like a mom right now" he chuckled
"shut it" Gary chuckled
"I'll miss you" tears started sparkling in the ravennette's eyes
"I'll miss you so much more, but it'll be okay" Gary gave the boy a hug with a tight embrace
"oh your hat" he chuckled grabbing it
"uhm, you keep it! Just so you won't miss me much" Ash chuckled
"but it's your lucky–" Gary started till Ash cut him off
"I know, but I'll be fine without it! I'm kinda starting to like the way I look without a hat to be honest" he gave off a chuckle in the mirror
"anyways, I'll be going okay!" Ash smiled and gave the auburn a last hug
"take care okay?" he smiled as he gave him a peck on the lips
"I will" the boy smiled once more then left off to his new journey.
