Chapter 2 - New Life As A Pikachu

~ Ash's POV ~
As we walked into the lab I looked around and then some girl snatched me out of the cute boy's arms
"awh!!!!! He's wearing a hat and a backpack!!!" she hugged me to death and I looked at the boy and thought
"help me" I think he got the message because he quickly took me away from the girl's arms
"Crystal! You're hurting him!" he hugged me
I couldn't think about anything but how much better I felt in his arms so warm and so comfortable
"these are the only arms I want to hold thank you missy!" I thought to myself snuggling up to his chest
"wait what am I saying?!? Gross!"
I pulled back and I didn't realize this boy was arguing with the girl
"Professor! Gary is being mean again!!!" she called out
"oh his name is Gary nice know" I thought as I looked up at him
"PrOfEsSoR" Gary mocked this Crystal girl and he carried me off upstairs to what I'm guessing is his room

"this must be hurting your back" he took my backpack off of me
"hey! That's mine!!!" I said as I watched him open it and start looking through my things
he didn't listen then took out my identification
he started at it and his eyes sparkled
"your trainer's really cute" he smiled with a light blush making me blush
"but he's trash if he abandoned you" he looked at me seriously, making me gulp
not gonna lie but he's very hot when he's mad
I shook my head as I thought that and just stayed turned away from him

I then heard him zip up my backpack
"Ashy, come" he patted a place next to his bed for me sit at
I smiled and jumped over to his bed, he opened up a laptop and started scrolling through who knows what while I leaned over on his arm

I then felt as he lifted me up to his lap
"look Ashy, the Ranger convention" his eyes sparkled
"do you know what that is Ashy?" he looked at me
I shook my head
"you see, I'm a ranger and I help out Pokémon who are in danger and all that stuff, so this ranger convention is to learn so much more about different ranger's experiences and how they overcame them" he smiled inspiredly
I chimed at him licking his hand and he tickled my chin making me giggle
"too bad it's in Unova" he sighed shutting his laptop
I frowned at him but he smiled at me
"it's okay, I'm sure I can go one day" he hugged me and then set me on his shoulder
"I haven't fed you, let's go, plus now you can meet Professor Rowan" he smiled as we left his room

Once I met this Professor Rowan guy he was analyzing me
"he seems like a very smart Pikachu, very alert, and very unique" he smiled
"that's it!" Gary smiled
"I'm catching him!" he took out a purple Pokéball
he threw it at me and I threw it back using my tail, he is cute and all but I'm sure not gonna let him catch me
"Gary I don't think he wants to be catch" the Professor said
"yeah I guess you're right, sorry Ashy" he frowned
I jumped into his arms and he hugged me tightly
"I'm gonna go feed him" he smiled as he took me away

In the kitchen Gary washed his hands and started roasting some bread then went to get a can of what I'm guessing is Pokémon food which had an Electric Symbol
"hm so Pikachu is an Electric Type" I thought myself as I watched him pour it into a bowl for me
he finished up making his roast beef sandwich and then signaled me to go outside with him which I gladly followed

The Pokémon food was disgusting but I still ate till I was full
once I was full I lied on my back looking at the clouds while Gary was still eating and looking through his phone which made me miss my phone
I sighed and Gary shoved the last piece of his sandwich in his mouth and smiled once he swallowed it

"someone's full" he laughed his mocking cocky laugh and tickled my belly making me giggle
"let's go" he signaled as I climbed onto his shoulder
he washed the plates he used then he took me outside again but he took out a clipboard and then started feeding other Pokémon and checking off when done

Once he finished he lied down on the grass
"man I hate hot weather!" he sighed, taking my hat form me and fanning himself with it
I blinked at him and he bopped me on the nose smiling
he was going to say something but then his phone rang
"oh hi Misty" he smiled
I got a bit close and saw a redhead girl
they talked for bit and not gonna lie it made pretty jealous
"so you coming over later?" she said
that caught my attention and made me a lot more jealous than before
I puffed my cheek and crossed my arms but Gary was too busy talking he didn't even noticed
"nah, I got work to do" he chuckled
'damn right he does so you should stop bugging him, he's mine' I glared at her while thinking that in my head
"you always got work it's so annoying" she snapped
"hey I just do what I gotta do" he snapped back
"whatever" she groaned
"I'll try make it up to you, um how about ice cream on Friday?" he smiled
I felt my heart explode
'EXCUSE ME WHAT THE FUCK' I thought as I scowled at him
"sure I'd love to!!!" she chimed making me madder than ever
"okay, I'll see you Friday then" he smiled
"bye!!!" she blew a kiss at him which he didn't return
"uh yeah bye" he looked uneasy

~ Gary's POV ~
Misty has always had this crush on me but I always just brushed it off, ignored her, and friend zoned her
but I think asking her for an ice cream made it look like the total opposite
"pika pi?" I heard Ashy say
"huh?" I turned to him
he looked at me blankly and repeated
"pika pi??" he blinked
"oh that was Misty a friend of mine" I smiled
he scowled and I knew he didn't like her
"it's okay, we're just friends really, the truth is I don't–" I shook my head
"never mind" I smiled picking him up and going through a couple other Pokémon I had to feed
Ashy also helped me out handing the bowls with Pokémon food
it's weird to say but his actions are almost human

not to mention when I first looked into his eyes I felt a spark which honestly is freaking me out

~ Ash's POV ~
I was sitting on Gary's bed waiting for him to get out of the shower I tapped his phone screen to see the time and it was 9:30 so I'm guessing it's almost time for bed

Once Gary came out he still had his regular clothes on which I'm guessing he's staying awake a bit longer
he played a couple of games on his laptop and then brushed his teeth then came back into the room
he dug through a drawer and then took out some grey sweatpants and a white shirt
I blinked and saw as he took his shirt off followed by his pants making me blush
I looked up and down at him and he was a lot more toned and muscular than what I'd think he'd be
I guess being a ranger, and all that running around and climbing really pays off
he got changed and he was beginning to turn around till I looked away

he then climbed into bed and smiled
"goodnight Ashy" he said petting me and lying me on his chest
"goodnight Gary" I smiled as he looked at me and slowly closed his eyes and snored softly and peacefully
I smiled and with my paw I moved his bang like hair out of his eyes and then slept curled up on his warm comfortable chest.
