Chapter 16 - Seeing You Again

~ Gary's POV ~
I got a jacket on and got my car keys believe it to not Oreburge City isn't so far if you drive
"whatcha doing?" Crystal cooed
"going to Oreburge City" I said as I got my backpack
"why?" she blinked
"some guy is bothering Ash and I want to put him in his place" I mumbled
"ohhh, so you're gonna fight him?!?" Crystal looked amazed
"if I have to yes" I sighed getting more things
she gasped and smiled
"I hope you win" she giggled
"thanks? Even though I hope I won't have to" I shrugged

After an hour or so I was there and I went into the parking lot of the Pokémon Center and got out with Umbreon behind me as I walked in I immediately saw Ash who ran to me
"Pichu!" Pichu's eyes sparkled and jumped into my arms
"hey buddy" I smiled petting him
"Gary what on earth are you doing here?!?" Ash scowled
"what else? I came to put this guy in his place now tell me which one is he?" I looked around
"Gare that's not necessary I promise" he hugged me
"to me it is, so now tell me which one is he?" I looked at him seriously as he pouted
"Ash don't start" I groaned
"Gary I don't want you to into problems" he frowned
"I'm not, I just want to punch him in the face" I sighed crossing my arms and walked around the center

Ash and I just walked talking about basic stuff until–
"oh!" Ash said as I turned to him
"you need to meet my Pokémon!!" he gave me a childish grin
"sounds like a plan" I chuckled as he took them all out
"everyone meet Gary, Gary meet Aipom, Buneary, and Eevee" Ash smiled as they all smiled at me cheering
"you all look great" I smiled petting the Eevee and smiled at the rest as they all smiled
"Ai!" I turned to see Aipom handing me a banana
"thanks Aipom" I smiled petting him as he chimed

"so how did your gym battle go?" I smiled at Ash with Eevee on my lap
"did I not tell you? Roark had his day off today, so I didn't get to battle him" he sighed as I smiled when I got an idea
"let's battle?" I smiled
"you sure?" he blinked
"of course I am, I'll use Umbreon, Electivire and Blastoise" I smiled
"uh okay" he smiled and arranged his team with Eevee, Pichu and Aipom
"okay, I'm ready!" he giggled

We got to the middle of our battle and now it was the last battle I had already defeated Pichu and Aipom now it was Eevee and Umbreon
"uhm Shadow Ball!" Ash called out
"block it" I told Umbreon
"now tackle" I said as he did so
then Eevee got knocked out and I won
"good job Umbreon" I smiled as I hugged him and he licked my cheek

I then looked over at Ash who was hugging Eevee then returned her and his other Pokémon as I did the same and I smiled at him as he huffed and crossed his arms
"awh, someone's a little loser" I mocked his pout
"hmph!" he pouted and kept his arms crossed

"you're my loser" I chuckled as I approached him giving him a kiss on his cheek wrapping my arms around him
"you're a meanie!" he stuck his tongue out at me as I chuckled and lifted him from the ground
"hey!" he pouted playfully giving my shoulder a smack
"someone's feisty" I chuckled giving him butterfly kisses on his neck
he giggled and put his arms around my neck and his legs around my waist
"I missed you" he hugged me tightly
"me too" I smiled giving him a kiss as he gave me another

"so you'll come and cheer me on for my gym battle tomorrow right??" Ash jumped on the bed excitedly since we got a room in the Pokémon Center
"yeah of course" I smiled as I extended my arms and he jumped off the bed into them and I fell back laughing
"am I that heavy?" he giggled
"no, but it seems like it when you jump" I chuckled as I got up with him in my arms and we lied in bed

I turned the lamp off and Ash snuggled up to my chest
"I know I've said it a thousand times today but I missed you" he said muffled since his face was buried in my chest
"same here" I smiled lifting his chin and giving him a kiss on his nose making him giggle and blush
"now sleep, you got a gym battle tomorrow" I chuckled as he smiled giving me a kiss
"I love you Garebear good night" he smiled
"I love you too, good night Ashy" I smiled having him close to me and sleeping with him in my arms

– Time Skip To The Next Day –

We woke up and Ash was hyper
"come on Gary!!! Today's the big day!!!!" he said yelling and running out the room as I ran after him
"slow down" I chuckled as he stopped running and giggled
"slowpoke!" he stuck his tongue at me as I rolled my eyes playfully as we went to the gym

"hello?!?!?" Ash called out opening the door of the gym
"calm down" I chuckled at his enthusiasm
"hey, you're the kid from yesterday" a man came to us
"yup! Is Roark here?" Ash blinked looking around
"he's finishing work but you can wait for him in the battle field stands, there's someone ahead of you but I'm sure Roark will whip through his battles" he smiled as Ash nodded
"okay! Thank you!" we went to the battlefield

"Roark specializes in Rock and Ground types so I suggest you shouldn't use Pichu babe" I smiled
"no Pichu?" he pouted then smiled as Pichu also smiled assuringly
"okay! I gotta work more with Eevee anyways" he giggled as we kept walking and entered the battlefield and saw the other trainer

"uh oh . . . " Ash said
"what?" I blinked as Pichu started talking to me and pointing at the trainer as I got the message this was the guy who was talking bad about Ash
"oh so that's him Pichu?" I asked as he nodded

"I'll be back" I said as I started approaching him
"Gary!" Ash tried holding me back but I kept walking to him

I wasn't gonna let someone talk bad about my boyfriend.
