~ 3rd Person POV ~
"so now Pikachu evolved" James blinked as he looked through the glass window
"yup, and if ask me it's stronger as ever with his new moves he's gotten" Meowth replied also spying
"yeah yeah whatever, what's the plan to catch him?!? He'd be great for my next contest as Jessilina!" Jessie fantasied a contest ribbon in her hands with Pikachu one her shoulder
"if only her brain was as big as her imagination" James muttered as Meowth nodded with agreement
"what did you say?!?" Jessie snapped as an argument sparked between the two giving Meowth the opportunity to brainstorm an idea to capture the Mouse Pokémon without a problem
"that's it!" Meowth exclaimed making the arguing pair turn their attention to him
"what is it?" the blue haired boy blinked
"Pikachu is sleeping as well as his buddies why not take the opportunity now, to disguise ourselves and snatch them?!?" Meowth smiled mischievously
"good plan" James chuckled smiling
"I agree, so what are we waiting for?!?–" Jessie smiled at the three then exclaimed
"let's get that Pikachu!"
"and his buddies" Meowth added
As the trio entered the Pokémon Center they were disguised as nursing staff and made their way to the ravenette's Pokémon room
"there they are!" they whispered
"okay, now let's slowly put them in here without waking them" James chuckled slipping the sleeping Buneary in a glass case as Jessie did the same to Monferno and Meowth did the same to Eevee
Once getting to Pikachu the nurse came for a quick check on the Pokémon but found the trio with the Pokémon in cases except Pikachu who was still in progress in getting in his glass case
"what are you three doing here?!?" the nurse scowled as the trio ran passed her leaving their glass case for Pikachu behind as the nurse chased them down the hallway
"stop those thief's!!" she yelled as many tried but the trio got away, they got outside and pressed a control button where they're machine slowly arisen, waking up Pikachu and his trainer's other Pokémon
"Pika?!?" the Mouse Pokémon blinked from his sleep and looked around to see that familiar trio
"P-Pika Pi!!!!!!!" he shrieked making his scream be heard from afar, so far his trainer heard it
"are you sure it's Pikachu?" Gary said as he drove back to the Pokémon Center with Ash in his passenger seat and Dawn in the back
"yes it is! Can you please speed up?!?" Ash said startled as Gary hesitated but did as he said
"hold on" he said as he speeded making Dawn shriek
"hey! Slow down!!!" she complained
"sorry Dawn but Pikachu needs me" Ash bit his lip
Once getting there the ravenette saw the machine where the trio was being attacked by multiple Pokémon as well as his own
but instead of leaving the trio was fighting back with robotic Spearow and Starly which used normal attacks that any of the two species could use in actual flesh but these attacks were much more stronger since it was all robotic
Pikachu was using his Thunderbolt over and over again but it didn't work since the mischievous trio had made their machine Thunder Attack proof
"Pikachu!" Ash ran to the machine which was twice his size
"A-Ash are you crazy?!? Come back!" Dawn yelled
"Piplup!!!" the Proud Pokémon also yelled
"wait, this can be a good thing" Gary mumbled
"what do you mean?!? Him being crushed to death won't be good!" the bluenette argued
"I mean it can show Pikachu how much Ash cares for him, it can actually help so Pikachu can obey Ash" Gary retorted as the bluenette blinked and looked at the scenario in front of her
"Pikachu stop, it's going to be useless!" Ash called out in front of the machine as Pikachu blinked at his trainer
"Pika?"
"will you three ever give up?!? Give me back Pikachu and my Pokémon!!" Ash scowled as the trio made faces at the boy
"try and take him back" James stuck his tongue out to the boy as he scowled and started climbing up the machine to reach his Pokémon and Pikachu who was in the middle of the machine
"what is he doing?!?" Jessie blinked
"he's climbing" James also blinked
"you dumbos!! He's trying to reach Pikachu!!" Meowth retorted
"ohhhhh" the pair said then snapped out of it
"okay! Let's shake the machine so he falls off!" Jessie said as the three started messing with controls
the ravenette did not slip since the machine was easy to walk up to because of the many bumps in its surface
"it's not working!" James complained
"let's use self destruction!" Jessie said fiercely
"Jess do you know what that means??" the Scratch Cat blinked now freaking out
"I could careless what it means!" Jessie said as she pressed the button making the machine fall apart
"Pika!" Pikachu freaked out still tied onto the machine
"Pikachu!" Ash called out and jumped onto the tied rope attempting to untie Pikachu
As smoke started to come out of the machine Ash had to hurry
"I-I can't!" he freaked out with Pikachu almost crying
"d-don't cry" Ash assured Pikachu
"hm" Ash looked around and pulled a piece of the metal on the machine which was already lifted up and pulled it until he was able to rip it
after a bit of struggle Ash was able to get the metal and started chopping off the rope around Pikachu making Pikachu close his eyes tightly
"Gotcha!" Ash smiled as he finally got the rope off Pikachu In that split moment the machine destructed and sent Team Rocket blasting off as Ash fell down with the machine falling apart and his Pokémon falling off as well in their glass cases
"let's go help them!" Dawn said to Piplup who followed
"Ash!" Gary ran to Ash but he could see him since piece from the machine were scattered making Gary freak out a bit
"Ash?!? Can you hear me?!?" he called out going through the pieces of the machine
Ash suddenly pulled out of a piece of the machine with Pikachu in his arms
"Gary!" he yelled as Gary went to him
"are you two okay?" Gary blinked as Ash nodded
"yeah we are, right Pikachu?" Ash smiled as the Mouse Pokémon licked his cheek nodding
Then sudden cheers flooded Ash's ears and he saw his Pokémon running to him safe and sound
"you're all alright! I'm glad" he hugged them tightly
– Time Skip To Later That Night –
"well you two now seem to be getting along" Dawn smiled referring to him and his Pikachu as Ash nodded
"yeah I guess it was just a phase" he pet the Mouse Pokémon who was eating Pokémon Food
"anyways speaking about evolution, who do you plan on evolving Eevee to?" Gary smiled as Ash looked at Eevee who was cuddled up with Umbreon
"uh good question" he giggled
"I think you should evolve it into Vaporeon! No no! Flareon!" the bluenette's eyes sparkled
"oh please everyone has those maybe an Umbreon!" Gary smiled after waving a hand dismissively to the bluenette who pouted crossing her arms
"Gary I'd like something different besides an Umbreon, Gardenia was training Eevee to become a Leafeon but I'm not sure if I'd like a Leafeon, it is pretty" Ash blinked
"Leafeon . . . " Dawn fantasied along with Piplup
"anyways I'd like Eevee to evolve when she's ready and I'll let her evolve into what she wants" Ash smiled
"that's fair" Gary smiled

also 2-3 more chapters till I'm done with the Sinnoh arc which makes me kinda sad because I love the Sinnoh cycle. ):💕
